On the heels of Patch 1.03 release, Aoki posts his second letter to the community. The most interesting part of the letter is "development team is currently working on various measures for the new surprise..."

Virtua Wars is a team battle event featuring a variety of veteran VFers, popular streamers, and professional players. This is a collaboration between SEGA and G-Star Gaming, a women eSports team. The two teams will be led by well-know VF veterans Ohsu Akira and Bunbunmaru.
In the first producer letter for VF5 R.E.V.O., Aoki celebrates the one month anniversary of the game's release. The two main topics from the letter:1) Updates to the game are ongoing, please continue to provide feedback through their official Discord. 2) Details for the global Virtua Fighter Open Championship (VFOC) will be revealed soon.

Update February 25, 2025: Akira (Virtua Fighter 5) got the most votes and will be represented in the next VF t-shirt. You can see the complete voting tally on the 30th Anniversary Website.
February 6, 2025. Virtua Fighter will be be present for all 3 days of EVO Japan 2025. The Special Tournament--exact details not announced yet--will take place on Friday, May 9th. Instead of just a 1 day marathon, Beat-Tribe Cup will run for two days: Saturday, May 10th to Sunday, May 11th.
Akira Zero, a longtime member of the VFDC community, has sadly passed away. Our condolences to his family and to all with whom Akira Zero has been a part of their life.
Ver.1.01 update is now live. This update introduces "Matching range" to matchmaking settings.
