On the 10th and 11th of May 2025, EVO Japan hosted the 19th VFR Beat-Tribe Cup tournament. VF Lives Tournament, a collaboration between Maximillian, SEGA, and TNS is the largest online event for Virtua Fighter with over 300 participants, over $4,000 dollars prize pool, and plenty of VF memorabilia given out to top 8.

VF5US game balance/bug fixes update--2.01--is now out for the PS4. Update comes out at the same time that VF5 REVO 1.00 is officially released on Steam. Game system wise, both VF5US 2.01 and VF5 REVO 1.00 are identical.

EVO posted a video of Seiji Aoki, Legacy Virtua Fighter Project producer, providing insight to the development and direction they are pushing with R.E.V.O. release for Steam. Some of the information is a repeat of what was revealed at the VF Direct, but there are some additional nuggets of information.
