There are many types of lag. Online lag, monitor lag, jet lag...but most likely the best type of LAG is the Los Angeles Gathering! A "grassroots Virtua Fighter offline event born out of passion, community, and cross-cultural connection," there will be a random select tournament and 3vs3 team tournament on October 10th and ends with singles tournament on October 11th.

In collaboration with MexicanUppercuts, whom has been running Beat Knuckle--a weekly VF5REVO online tournament on Thursday evenings for North America--VFDC presents Virtua Fighter Circuit - North America. This is an online VF5REVO (Steam) tournament for North America region players on October 23, 2025, 7 pm Central start time. Winner of the event will receive a special in-game title!

Update: October 6, 2025. Both VFOC Europe Qualifiers are completed! 8 players advance to the Europe Regional Finals on October 19, 2025. These players will compete for an invitation to the Global Finals on March 1, 2026: Nero (JA), Kingo (AO), Kamille (AK), Henpyxa (PA), Natsou (WO), Kingheim (SH), G0d3L (KA), and xliiv (40i4)(BL).

Announced during the Exhibition Match at Tokyo Game Show, there will be an Open β Test for VF5 R.E.V.O. World Stage from October 1, 8 PM to October 6, 7:59 PM PDT (October 2 12 PM to October 7, 11:59 AM in Japan).

Continuing with the Virtua Fighter Open Championship (VFOC) series, last weekend saw the first APAC Online Qualifier tournament held with 126 entrants from all over Asia, including Australia(!) This coming weekend on Sunday 7 September, the second APAC Online Qualifier will be held. The top 4 from each Qualifier will then face off in the APAC Online Finals where the winner will secure a coveted spot in the VFOC Global Finals. Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will have a single player mode with the same name as the game's title. For the month of August, SEGA will be accepting names for the CPU opponents that will populate what appears to be a mode like Quest mode of past games.

The Virtua Fighter Circuit is back for VF5REVO, kicking off in Oceania this Friday 27 June 2025, and coming to a region near you, soon!

After winning VF5 REVO Combo Breaker 2025, ChinpanJ sits down with SEGA introducing himself and sharing his thoughts about Virtua Fighter and the community. ChinpanJ is the first player to qualify for VFOC Global Finals.
