This is every VF, not just FS though.

True about the reviews, on top of that the reviews that DO come out are the same from the past 10 years as in the flow chart is Talk about depth->Realism->Bash Tekken.

I am starting to think that anyone who complains about story should get their VFDC account suspended. I am only half joking. The stories for all the other fighting games are mind-numbingly stupid and tasteless except for the original SFII which was at least funny.

Your comment about people complaining about VF's story deserving to be suspended from this site was unnecessary, even if you were half joking.

The most recent topic in this thread was the appearance of a dearth of people playing FS online. I merely suggested that people should try to create an open room when they have the time. I was not complaining about VF's lack of an in-game story. I mentioned the lack of an in-game story to bolster my point about the VF series being the closest thing to a no-frills arcade game for the current generation of the fighting game genre and how Room Matches are more within the spirit of the VF series than Ranked and Player Matches.

Yes you are missing something. Facts.

Find players? Find who? Chase private rooms and beg people to accept me to play? Lol.

Facts are there. You telling "find players that are on when you are on" does not make it to be possible, that's like me saying, "there is a santa clause " does not make him real! What a joke. For a week now i've been trying every time zone. Morning/noon/evening/night Cooladdy is about the only standard. Appart from other same people that pop every second or 3rd day.

You talk as if I trashed the game so you feel the need to get defensive and start throwing insignificant insults.

I am playing this game for Christ sake, the facts are facts. You can twist, turn, insult or what ever you want. One only needs to download the game and try finding players. I'll give him a month before he doesn't come back again.

Say what ever you want. As said, facts are facts.

    900+ likes on Facebook. Really?

Tekken 6 has half a million. Fact!

BGs to me for playing very poorly the past couple of weeks. I swear that I've been 3-0'ed at least once out of every 5 games lately. My second job will be playing in the Dojo until I get at least semi-competent at VF again.

I literally lost so much lately that I went from a Sentinel back down to a Raider.

GT- I wouldn't say "at all costs." I love many of VF's core mechanics, but found it extremely fun to be unorthodox in certain situations. Shun and Lion always had unique situations in VF2, VF3, and a little in V4, which carried into VF5 (now everyone has them), which is why I believe Shun alone begged me to develop such weird habits over the years. That and also I think it was my way of creating fun with the game again, and online especially played a part in it.

However to your point, a great example of avoiding the core mechanics is going for Shun's headstand immediately on wake-up. I know you know what I'm talking about. Years ago I because addicted to doing this, greatly because of messing up people's flowcharts, and particularly for baiting a pounce or ground stomp and making it miss. This works on even the best of the best. To my shagrin, recovery frames after missed pounces and ground stomps are about twice as quick now, which is completely f'd up imo.

Anyway, I still have fun with the game, but for some reason after VF4 I became stubborn with VF and haven't really grown. I would say chalk it up partly to getting older, having less time to play, and online.

For whatever reason FS doesn't allow me to do certain things anymore with as much success. I believe part of this is because of hit boxes becoming larger. And as I mentioned before, the taking away of delayed rising attacks still messes me up. Yesterday while I was playing a decent Jean, I was absolutely shocked at how large of a hitbox his somersault move has (the one where he quickly launches forward). On a few occasions I was backturned and standing about twice the distance away as when the round starts, I then hit away on the joystick which makes Shun roll far away, and unbelievably I was hit by Jean's somersault. I saved the match and watched it again and Jean's body wasn't touching my character by about two character's widths!

    Adapt or die trying.

Every VF iteration has it's haters and wishes it was like the previous ones, this is no different. I'm kinda amused to see what people are going to bitch about when VF6 drops.

VF fs is a good game and there is nothing wrong with it(maybe its the people playing it).
You guys are going to appreciate VF more when you play other fighting games. I agree with Rodnutz when he said in an interview that it sometimes feels like he is trapped when he plays other fighters ,but in VF there are multiple ways out/dealing with things.

I have many gripes with FS but it is very far better than any other fighting game out there.
