your lack of :) makes me think you're serious abou those combos. I have to update the combo list when I get time later but. . . use P > 6P+KPPP or P > 6P+KP > 214PPP (on light folks) or PP > 214PP > 214K+G (depends on stance I forget which) or the basically universal PP > 214PPP

I don't ever want to see you doing PPPK or 6PPK after that hit unless it's to ring someone out.

Listen to Tricky! Even, you need to go back the lab (like I said in an earlier reply to you and UnknowingNote [or was is PrivateSnowballs?]) and get your max combos figured out. It's VF basics part 2, which is where you're at. You'll want to get [9][K] combos down, too.

If you aren't doing them, you don't know your combos. No reason to be unpredictable in your guaranteed damage.

No, i know the inputs & everything i pull them off in dojo just fine but ina real fight i revert back to my bad habits & under pressure i either drop combos or do what i know which is now become predictable. I kno it sounds cheesy but thats what it is.

I have this problem with more advanced combos too. You just have to practice them to the point where it's automatic. I also give it to you, eileen combos are hard.

Bad Gamesmanship to Air Jacky. For the past four or five years, he has often been a very bad sport on XBL: always pouting and playing all silly-like if you beat him repeatedly. Recently, out of the blue, he sends me all these messages saying that I am known for being a puller and that he and Akai and Jhow all agree that I am this notorious puller. I am sure he was lying about these other guys because I have literally never intentionally disconnected from a ranked VF match. I have tried to politely correct Air Jacky to no avail.

What is wrong with this guy? Does he need to be locked in that special wing of the psychiatry ward for neurotic/psychotic VF players?

Never communicated with him, but have played him off and on for about 3 years. He used to seem strong, but I see now how formulaic him and many Jackys are. These guys really don't like landing on their ass when their ridiculous easy mode flip-kick runs into the waiting arms of Aoi. Steven Seagal in a kimono :ninja:

A bad game to me is a pull or some blatantly abusive message post-game, which I must say, is really rare on this. However, the more I get sucked in, the more I see how this issue of avoidance and declining is pretty prevalent on there. I hold my hands up, there's a few guys on there now I simply don't enjoy playing, so I don't. Some I can beat with some chars, some are just way too strong. Some don't have any outfits (see this a lot with Jacky players on 1000+ games) and seem like trolls, some just rely on cheesy big hitting moves like body-check or chars with constant low-hitting moves, which just becomes

I worked really hard to get the Defender grade (lol, for sure), beating some pretty high ranked guys with mostly Pai, Aoi, and a bit of Sarah. Then I start using Vanessa and Shun, and of course, drop back down. I try and play as many new faces as possible, but some of these Kyu and Dan guys are really strong (2nd accounts maybe), and when you lose to them, the rank bar gets shredded. Beating any of the high ranked players on there can mean they never play you again. So there's a lot of chicanery taking place, totally. As pointed out before in this thread, or even in the GGs one, sometimes you get a situation where there's like 5 guys in the ranked lobby, and no one wants to play each other lol...
Perhaps if SEGA let you actually keep the grades on the next one, this might not occur so much, because as it is, I feel it could in fact be driving players away from the game (the last thing VF needs IMO). It's pure snakes and ladders.
If you think about it, some of these name awards are not necessarily an indication of skill or awesomeness, but rather manipulation and cowardice. Some of the very best players only have a few hundred games clocked anyway. They don't need to preen, they just get the job done versus anyone who will fight them.

BGs to both Panda Enforcer and James Kenobi 8. They're both pseudo rage quitters. Panda Enforcer just stood there in my winning round and let me pummel him while Kenobi hopped out of the ring when I had a huge life lead in my winning round.

I don't know which is the bigger evil between outright rage quitting or giving up and hopping out the ring or not defending oneself. I'm leaning towards rage quitting being the lesser of two evils since at least someone pulling saves me time. Both accomplish the same thing in effect, but giving up lets one keep their green smiley.

*sigh* Add Air Louis 116 to the list of pseudo rage quitters. I got perfects on him in the first 2 rounds, so he just stood there and let me whoop on him in the final round. Of course, he avenges getting triple perfected by repeatedly choosing me and then leaving.

I hope you feel better after making me waste 6 seconds of my life.

I find those possibilities exceedingly unlikely considering that both incidents happened really late at night and that neither person sent a message explaining that something came up. Whenever something comes up mid round/match and I have to put the controller down, I'll send a message apologizing, if for no other reason to avoid being mentioned in this thread and having someone leave me negative feedback for quitting early.

Yea, it's a possibility though. And one could straight quit mid match, send you a message apologizing and could be lying :) Would never know ^_^ I just didn't think to stop playing during a fight would deserve a bad game post cause there's lots of reasons to have to drop the sticks/pad mid game and not message about it (Though I would message if I had to leave for a minute too). But that's just me. No big deal either way I guess..

And yea, one dude joined and quit on me over and over too, like 10 times damn near. No lie. Lately it's pretty hard to get on my nerves, but this cat was doin it. So I started doing it back to em lol. After a couple times he disappeared.

im so sick of these b---- a-- players cheating! i aint never in my life cheated at a video game ...and i lose most of the time in vf.

LOL, I don't know why, but his post made me reminisce about the year 2004 when people had modems with standby buttons on them. We're in a technological regression since people need a lag switch as well as a modem instead of having the lag switch conveniently on the modem.

There is never anyway to be sure, only suspicious circumstances. I experienced this with Felipe_something_something, a 10th dan lau player. I won our first match in a perfectly seamless connection (grey mind you), and went up 2 rounds to one in the second match. It was this point that the game became a picture slide show and i lost the last 2 rounds. It was like watching him hit his combos with a strobe light on.

It may have been all natural lag with coincidental timing, and it may have been that he was able to operate and land combos in it while i couldn't mash out a hit...who really knows.
