XBL Bad Games

Bad game to WACHILLEB. His Jacky is dick sauce, since all he does is spam or whatever Jacky's punch knockdown string is and then going for a stomp. After I curb stomped him, he tried to play me again, but I declined since playing a spammer is a waste of time. Of course, he kept joining me just to leave.

I swear that there seems to be a rise in the population of spammers in this game. I played at least 3 spammers tonight, including a Vanessa spammer named PyroZamfri.

Who'd she use? I played against her several times and her Sarah is on-point and she's ok with Aoi. Her Pai could admittedly use a lot of work, but I've never had any problems with her. She was pretty nice whenever she beat me and never dodged me if I beat her.

 

She used Aoi every-time i played her & idk if someone else was playing or she was sandbagging or what but it definitely was 1 sided every-time

 

This two posts were EXACTLY what I was in my mind. JCBlack keeps join my match even though I told him to not join ma matches cuz I just can't stand how he plays, can't find any fun against him.
Same for Sweet something. I joined him since I've never seen this guy but he always disconnects me. I don't think I've played this guy even once...

 

SweetSuki told me in a message, that she has a husband. She also complimented my Aoi. She used to destroy me at first, but now the matches are more even. I saw her play Sarah a few times, and she reckons she wants to try Pai. I think she has all the outfits.
I read on here before that JC plays because he likes the art... yet I've never seen him with any kind of customisation. I have no real issue with playing him though. I'll play pretty much anyone on a decent line who doesn't pull.

I remember on the old one, you couldn't cancel at the start, and I used to get no-bar Taiwanese players join, and have to sit through the match barely able to move. Thankfully SEGA took note of that flaw this time around.

 

For me, I don't care if Sweet Sucky is nine ranks higher than she should be. It is interesting to discover that such stupidity is not confined to the male population.

And I don't care if I don't get to fight her (I don't think I ever have). I just wish that she and all people like her would stop hosting if they are going to disconnect. That is just bad etiquette.

 

I actually took this to heart. Usually i am looking for people of roughly similar rank to my own to play, and after reading complaints i now use custom match to do so. I know rank isn't important per se, but i do enjoy benchmarking (even flawed benchmarking), and while rapidly improving at the game i do find it somewhat useful as a measure of progress (even if the correlation isn't particularly strong).

Furthermore i suppose i kind of enjoy rank grinding because i know that at anytime i can get room matches with very good players to actually measure my true skill/improvement. I'm fortunate that people like lucky GT, Flash, SDS, Tfam, Vfnumbers, chibiaya, none other etc will play with me virtually any time we are both on if i ask. That's a large enough base of players that are at least as good as me and up to way better than me that playing ranked unmindful of rank seems like it'd be a waste of time in light of playing those guys in room/player.

I will point out though, that even when using custom match to look for opponents it will throw you into matches as the host in a blind-side fashion. Not a big deal though--even though it is inevitably vs a something-slayer or something-heart. Generally i'll just take my lump and move on lol.

BG's redsonrising. It seems like this guy used to be a LOT better. Now he 100% substitutes movement with cut upper/defensive elbow sabaki spam. So much unfun.

 

BGs ranked in general.
Now here me out. All these good players always complain about ranked being dead and no one to play etc etc. Well tonight there was 2 conquerors (craftiernut, shangster), 2 beserkers (vanilla tears and someone else), and 2 veterans all in custom match. AND...wait for it...none of the conquerors/beserkers would play each other. THere was also 5 hunters, 2 defenders, and 3 barbarians online, and u could watch the custom match screen as every single one of them (the conqueror/beserkers) played almost nothing but hunters and barbarians and defenders.

Don't complain about no one to play, when really you are running away from people the same rank as you!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

People will do what they do social ruin don't get mad at that. If there are times that people want to pick their foes on purpose so be it that is the way ranked is that is why I avoid it whenever I can. People will play as they feel they have to as well, I find redsun's style as a great learning tool that forces me to adapt to people that like using a defensive style of play so I can learn to beat it. Then again I can't hate on a character I use myself either. When I do play ranked, I just go for quick matches unless there is someone there I hate to play with and I don't care what their rank is if I don't like your style I won't play you period. I play everyone too from conquerors to kyu ranked people too.

Would it be bad if I decided to sit back and stay in the menu to avoid certain people then if I don't knowingly avoid people based on their rank? I never have an issue finding matches either so people that claimed ranked is dead don't know what they are talking about because there are more people playing than one would think. You just have to know when and where to look for them.

 

@shadow, i agree 100%. I never have trouble finding matches (during reasonable hours of the night and i am 4 hours behind west coast). Basically, if it's 11pm or earlier in Alaska i can find matches. Usually from about 9-11:30 is when the heavyweights are on, none other, GT, Konjou, denkai, (less so konjou/denkai), hurricane, etc.

But i believe u are missing my complaint. I am complaining about people saying they can't find any worthy opponents in ranked matches, then avoiding every player of similar rank to pick on hunters.

I personally try to only play people my rank, one rank under me, or one rank above me. Altho i do have about 8 losses to none other lol. It's a holdover from vanilla when you could only rank up vs people of similar or very close rank. Also, players dodging is such an issue on FS that i don't want to beat a guardian 5 times as a hunter, and then they won't play me as a guardian. I've mentioned in my blog that i do take rank somewhat seriously, and i play ranked to play ranked. When i truly want to improve, i play rooms.

 

No need to drop my name in there man. I played Shangster about 3 times, LiquidAkira 5 times, Sevensided, and a whole bunch of others. I play whoever is available. Played TFam twice yesterday, even though he totally dominates me.....

Besides, who are you to talk really? I challenged you twice, and YOU denied ME! And don't bring rank into it.....cause i'm not really a 'berserker' caliber player, and you're not really a 8th dan or whatever you are.

lol vanilla tears. It didn't look like it. BTW like i said i'm trying to play players of my rank. I'll be completely honest, i'm avoiding ALL jacky's until i practice vs jacky for a week or 2. No worries buddy.

I'm not yet. Sent you a PM. Sorry again man. I can't say with certainty all were avoiding like ranked players. Just a trend. One or 2 high rank players could have definitely bucked the trend, but not all.

If it doesnt apply to u, please just disregard it entirely buddy. Let's do players sometime tho, i seriously need jacky practice. I sorta feel like he's like lei used to be, and u have to really have jacky knowledge to play vs good jacky's successfully.

Admittedly, jacky is somehow in my damn blindspot.

 

Also i only avoid jacky's in ranked. I absolutely loved jacky room matches. It'd be perfect to get my ass kicked by SDS or Chibi or Denkai for a week straight in room matches. LVL 5 or special sparring doesn't even vaguely resemble real jacky's.

Where lion or lau special sparring kinda simulates lau's or lions, if that makes sense.

I will play ANYONE, I don't care what their "rank" is; however, I will not play Craftier Nut nor is Sergio (or whatever his/her name is...[I hate their boring ass styles])...but that's about it.

BGs to Rufus Shokan for being a blatant lag switcher. His connection was rated at 3 bars, yet the actual match had so many lag spikes that I thought I was watching a slide show. Anyone that plays him should have some gravy nearby since he mashes potatoes with his crappy Lei Fei.

That dude pulled on me as well. His smiley was yellow, but I give yellow smiley people the benefit of a doubt and chalk it up to some random disconnects. I refuse to play orange and red smiley people because they are definite RQ'ers. His Jean just goes for basic strings into a throw.

 

Yeah, same here on the yellow faces. Heck, me and social had a yellow face for awhile, had 1 random disconnect in over 100 games played, lol. And it took quite a few games before it went back green too! Getting it to turn green was much more exciting than any promotion.
