IDK, I had a japanese player stomp on me after I lost a few rounds. But I ended up stomping back on him once I started winning some myself (I only stomp on players if they start it first). But after our last match he sent a player review to me saying that I was unsporting...right. I don't see how getting back at him was unsporting.

The best way to appease a japanese player is to never jump on them even if they do it to you and especially not after the match is over. They tend to take these things more seriously then we do in America, My rep that was 67% avoided at its worse is at 52% and it is dropping more and more each day because I don't face people that I suspect might be japanese or oriental at all or might ring themselves out. They are the ones that give me the bad rep I always get more often than not. You can always see what country they are from before you face them as well. I make a habit of this because I don't want to see people quitting on me at all for any reason what so ever and it better helps me to avoid the quitters before I even pick them.

    Who cares about their rep?

I had some stupid Japanese guy dc on me then giving me a review "quit early". No idea what that was about.

But yeah, Happy_Friend is right, rep used to really bother me until I realized it's useless and pointless. Then I stopped worrying about it and that's when I started having fun with the game.

Shadowmaster, your rep is probably dropping because you're getting better with the game...there's lots of sore losers out there who'll give you bad rep for winning. So again, don't worry about it.

How do you know who give you what reputation? I just see mine but no details of it...

If you go the rep section of your own gamercard in the dashboard, it should be listed. It's over on the right hand, underneath where it lists your motto and stuff, should list each of the categories of complaint types, with a percentage of how many people gave you that complaint.

If I had a way to know exactly who gave the bad rep that would really help. I see the different types of rep you can get but I want to know how is giving me the rating so I know who to put on my hate list when my avoidance rating suddenly increases dramatically.

When I used to care, I checked on my rep a lot...so I knew who gave me a bad rating since the numbers changed. But this only works if you check on it once every few games.

Like I said...I eventually learned not to do this, because you'll start worrying about the meta-game ("will this guy hate me if I do this"?), and that eventually ruins your game. So it's better not knowing, just go out there and kick everybody's butt:)

Thats kinda stupid...They shouldn't jump on their opponents and then get upset when they get jumped back. *shrugs* oh well XP

Damn oh well then. My mic is never plugged up so whether or not you like if i feel like Kicking you while you down its all on you. I paid 60 bills for this game and i will get 60 bills worth period.
To people i respect i i'll only kick once to finish the combos off. when im bored and i see you spamming or trying to get over aggressive i stomp yo ass out plain and simple.
BTW Japanese people are like that. Its alomst like attacking while bowing or with you back turned. I've played plenty of Japanese people and they did'nt really care.

That's just dumb. If they do it to me, I'm doing it back. If they get upset and think 'i'm' rude then too bad. They did it first, they deserve it back. That's like saying to appease a japanese person you should not punch them back if they punch you in real life. Best to stay on their good side and be their bitch and let them do whatever they want, so long as THEY'RE happy.

    No Thanks.

Hit me, I hit you. Stomp me, I stomp you. Fair is Fair. Give me negative rep and complaints, Get the same.

I say forget about being nice on XBL, there's no reason- here's why:

Nobody is pumping quarters into the machine!

Sure.. There's nothing wrong with a mercy round every now and then but I say play for the win. Your tournament might depend on it someday.

If someone starts to ring themselves out I just do Pai's running kick, then I keep attacking as fast as I can so they don't have the opportunity to jump out of the ring. This usually makes them fight back, I've had some pretty intense fights that started this way.

LOL I do the same thing with Jacky's step in middle kick then knee strike throw to keep them in the ring.
It usually pisses them off and fight back.
Some just lie on the ground, and I'll soccer ball kick em to death.

If it's legitimately laggy, I'll let them ring out. If they're just being elitists, I'll do the shenanigans I just mentioned.

random comment: i used to be the type of player that didnt really care if i got kicked on the ground or stomped by my opponent. but now, i find that shit kind of crazy. Keep in mind only against players i dont know though, because everyone knows that the definition of it is disrespect, so with that mind and it's still done, you know someone trying to disrespect you.

I guess my opinion on it has changed. Like say i'm playing some people i know, some friends, or people i've been gaming with a long time, if we stomp and kick each other on the ground it's hilarious and funny as shit. But playing a total stranger though, it kind of has a different meaning to it entirely.

It's not like im playing an FPS and i'm shooting at a guy. Yeh i guess my opinion on it really has changed.

I've become a bit too humble and carefree these days. I just like to chill.

I personally get a bit annoyed when I lose, but it's like ok a loss no big deal. But it kinda irks me when I have just lost and this guy comes up stomping on my head. It's like ok you won I lost, why do you gotta stomp me out? Maybe I'm weird, but it gets a bit annoying. Especially if some high ranked player perfects me, and then goes and stomps on me over and over. I know your better than me why rub it in?

Again, all this talk makes me wish I could still do Aoi's OTG throws on a KO'ed opponent...not that I'd ever DO that to anyone here :p
