1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

Nice one Akiralove, I think the list you have is still too long, or was that just possible entrances into the list you had there? Any suggestions about arcade sticks are just barking up the wrong tree. This is aimed at the coders of the game, not people who handle the production/distribution of sticks. Also in my opinion, its not worth asking for stuff like 'bring back mission mode' as this wont greatly affect our enjoyment of the game, whereas there's some stuff that they've left out of the ps3 version that we're all crying daily about. If we can get them to fix these for the x360 then it would make all the difference. Adding any requests for things that dont matter so much will just clog the list and make it less likely they'l bother. Akiralove PM me if I can help or you wanna discuss anything. Thanks

Nice list and i would love to see all those things added though the only thing i see them adding for the 360 build is Achievements which is a MS standard on all 360 games. Also given the potential release date of this summer i cant see it happening.

    Though i could be wrong

Release date is early September. They have a TON of time to do whatever they want. Otherwise, I see them just twiddling their thumbs for 6 months.

Akiralove, after reading over your list, I think EVERYTHING there should be in the 360 version. There is no excuse, since they worked that hard to bring all of that to Evo. It is everything people need to have a rich single player experience that can make up for the lack of online play, while allowing people to be properly equipped for playing at gatherings. The stick is also CRUCIAL to this list! The stick is probably the MOST important thing the 360 version needs. It absoultely REQUIRES that domestic release of the High Grade stick, or everything else is worthless, because the game cannot be played properly/at the highest level on a pad.

    Bryan,

I think this is fantastic. Thanks for doing all this work. I think you should submit all the proposed changes. If there has to be editing, let the recipients do it. It's not like someone's going to be offended: "Shit - this guy asked for X things! If it had been X minus one, that would've been great. So fuck him, we're not gonna do ANY of them."

Also - a request to update the PS3 port would be cool. I'd PAY for it, be it new disc or downloadable patch.

    Thanks,

    Talis

Seconded. I'd pay $20 for a patch to the ps3 version to allow recording moves in training + using character saves on multiple machines.

Bryan, one way you could frame it is to present the wishlist in order of priority. That way AM2 can scan the list down and say "Ok they really want that, it's hard to do, but they really want it so let's do it" and "That's hard to to do and it's low on the list, so let's skip it."

    For me:

    Priority #1: Arcade perfect port

Priority #2: The game can be updated through newer versions via download

    Priority #3: Evo's training mode

Priority #4: Exchange of replays online

Priority #5: Profiles are made mobile

    Etc.

Along with akiralove's pretty solid list, I'm gonna add one that I know I'll get flamed over, but whatever. Add Taka Arashi back in. Maybe they would want to save it for the EVO like update to this game, but since I don't understand why everyone seems to believe an upgrade is 100% coming, the 360 version could end up being the final release of the game. And if you examine their reasons for not including him after VF3, I don't think they hold up anymore. I find it hard to believe the ps3/x360 can't graphically handle Taka, but in all honesty I don't really care to see his fat rippling from the collision of a fist to his chest. That's an attention to detail I could live without. And as far as how the characters react to him (showing strain when throwing, etc...) it was done years ago on a much weaker system, it can be done again. And if it isn't done again, who cares. No one complains about things like this concerning Ganryu. As far as floating is concerned, I think there are enough people here who know the system well enough to come up with an intelligent system that would allow for combos without floats against Taka. Maybe something like an extended stun system, where moves that would normally float would simply stagger Taka. Combos would probably be smaller damage against him, but could occur more frequently. And I'd love to see his circular VF3 stage beautifully updated and thrown into this game for a bit of a mixup from the squares. I know this is somewhat unrealistic, but I think it would draw alot of attention and excitement from real VF fans, who as far as I can tell often complain about Taka's disappearance but never really offer any solutions.

I'm sorry, but very. I don't hate you for wanting this however, but let's try to keep things reasonable.

I agree adding Taka is not really feasible, but why would he need to be unfloatable? I mean floating in and of itself is already unrealistic. Just put him in his own "super-fat" weight class, problem solved.

well im not sure you understand why Taka was taken out. Taka was taken out because the System changes, not because of the graphics or physics. The physics portion may have been a factor, but im not sure he would fit in in more recent games. One of the big selling points of the VF series is that The tiers arent as gapped as in games such as tekken. Also, im sure that they tried to integrate him into the new system, but for some reason, they couldnt. Does that rule out his appearance in future titles? NO, it is possible for them to change the system and somehow Taka can work. Then again, I dont really think that taka's moves would be smooth enough or fast enough to keep up with some of the other characters.

If Taka were back in the 360 version, I would buy a 360 for that alone. I started playing VF because of Taka.

Can you imagine Taka in four different outfits?
    Standard Sumo
Sumo in a three piece suit
    Sumo on bouncer duty!
And Sumo in trainers and slacks? (Gangsta Sumo!)

I believe Ice-9's reinterpretation of akiralove's original post hit the nail on the head. The priority list is rock solid, and those honestly are obviosly gap-hole flaws that should have been expanded on.

Hell, if you want it typed in a formal document let me know! (lol)

Oh, and thanks bunches for the effort, hommie(s).
