1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

Will you play VF5FS on PSN or XBL?

I know I will propably prefer xbox and play most of my casuals on XBL, but I do also have ps3 so I can at least pick up challenges and go PSN if people ask me to. Especially since the new system will have lobbies, it will be easier for online friends to get together and play games. I just hope the online code is up to it.

If they'd done a retail release I would possibly have bought both, even though I sold my 360 with arcade joystick shortly after the few free months of VF5 online were over.

So unless Sony start charging subscriptions for online play, I'll definitely be on PSN when it is out, and looking forward to seeing just how good the network code is with this version.

Hopefully the remoteplay feature will be enabled for all PS3 games after this years E3, so I can play VF5FS online on the Vita, and play on a casual bite size basis, particularly to cover those free bits of time when the addition of setting up the arcade stick is the difference between getting to play and not.

Like a few people here, 360 due to only having that at the moment.

I'm looking to get a PS3 soon though. If I do, then I'll get it on that too, but the 360 will be the main console I play on.

PSN ... idk about the world but ppl here in Europe had a psx-> ps2-> now ps3... the only fighting game ppl mostly play here is the old console classics... sc,tekken, doa. From what i heard SEGA makes good netcodes, that sounds really good so ye, we may meet online psn since i'm bored playing vf2 on my pc... [IMG]

Only a lot of the answers have been from people in europe. If you only had playstation consoles you missed out on a lot of fighting games.

    In short, you're talking rubbish.

    Xbox 360.
I guess most of the Ver.C's community won't switch (actually there is no reason) and because of that xbl may be the place with the most opponents.

    75% PS3 , 25% 360. Not buying the 360 DLC. Buying all the the PS3 DLC.

The question will be how much new blood will start playing. Most of the newer players will be on PS3, assuming they come in from other competitive fighters.

In a way, the old vets staying on XBL might help the game, as the newer folks will get stomped less at first. I got the impression one reason the FS machines didn't get as much attention as they could have at FR was the fact the folks trying it for the first time got stomped because they were playing vets and didn't have a chance to learn much.

Not faulting the veteran players, because they had much to learn also, but it's hard to figure out stuff on the fly, when getting stomped simultaneously. Plenty of folks at FR said they would give it a shot, which means SEGA should get something from those folks, the question is will they stick with it, especially once TTT2 comes out?

I think the critical period for FS will be from EVO to October- that's when SEGA needs to kick the marketing up.

One side note: you do run into famous Japanese players, even on games with inferior netcodes: I actually played the Professor from the Madman's cafe once in KOFXIII. Nice guy.

If you have both systems, there's no reason to not double-dip for the biggest playerbase possible! That's what I'll be doin'. :3

Hoping to triple dip if Sega ever gets on that Vita version. On the go training mode routines would be dope.

Looks like most people will be getting it on the 360.

But I only have a ps3 so that is where I will be playing.

I'll be on the PS3 until I dual mod my TE stick. If it gets a portable version (which would be welcomed but not very hopefully for) I'll get it.
