Hey fishie, I checked my PM but thats not my buddy there, sorry. I used to know quite a bit more people at SOJ and in the rest of the japanese game industry when I worked for gamefan 95-96 and gamers' republic 97-2000. Actually, last time I was in japan, a long time freind from gamest and after that scitron, wanted me to play VF5 with Akira Nishitani (creator of street fighter) but I was heading back home to LA the next day. If I meet up with him to play R this time around, ill be sure to post some pics on here.

That's funny, did sega release a revised lindbergh board for vf5r? AFAIK original lindbergh had 1gb (singular) system ram + 256mb video, vs 256mb system + 256mb video for ps3.

As for the OP, i'm pessimistic. Better to be pleasantly surprised in october, rather than, say, slitting your wrists.

if it does come to consoles, ps3 seems the most likely choice, though 360 is also a distinct possibility. perhaps they'll pull a ff13 and have it on ps3 in japan and on both in the us.

ps3 is easier to port lindbergh games to (same intel/nvidia architectures for both) and it's the more popular system in japan. but at the same time, the 360 version has sold better, in no small part due to online.

either way, it'll determine which console i finally buy.

The 360 version hasn't sold better actually. It sold even less than the PS3 version. Releasing it at the time they did was a bit of a mistake too. August would have been nice(The original month).

Probably not, considering that's when Bioshock hit...

don't know what else needs to be said.

Who knows? Virtua Fighter 5 R may possibly go multiplatform like Virtua Fighter 5 did. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

I saw that list a few days ago, but didn't know if it was an accurate list. I didn't post it because I didn't want my dream shattered. I'm still riding on the hope that developers will have surprises at the show. If this list is accurate I will be a very unhappy man!

Please SEGA, don't give me a reason to play other fighters over my favorite one, VF :\

my guess that the list is a playable games list. So in other words they can show video, announce it, but not have it playable.

    no worries

I saw the games on that list about a few weeks ago on famitsus site but im still expecting at least a mention of vf5r for console. I never really expected it to be playable there, just some sort of news in one form or another.

Yeah this is exactly what I was thinking / hoping when I saw the list. Well I've got my fingers crossed, legs crossed, nuts crossed... heck I even have my dick tied in a knot.

Please Sega don't force me to play SC4 and T6.

I'd rather go back to DOA4 before I let that happen.
