will the virtua fighter series .....

I was just throwing in my two pence over which style I think would be good for the series.

I say Han Moo Do.

So far the VF series has been using styles that you don't normally see in fighting games, I mean it took them this long to use Karate.

Boxing has been polished over the years and frankly I wouldn't care to see it again.

I said a few pages ago that a boxer would be useless for the simple fact that 90% of his moves would be trumped by Wolf using his reject wall. Which is just silly.

Brad serves well enough. If you want a boxer use Brad but don't kick or use grabs.

 

If you want another style for the series, might as well create a thread for it. Anyways, leave the discussion to us, who wanted a boxer for the series. Besides, boxing is a style that existed since ancient times. Han moo do seems to be recent.[/size]

Honestly I liked the vid Seidon posted and everyone knowns Tae-Kwon-Do was ment to knock people off horses not fight hand to hand combat, this form seems to be much more kick someone's ass based, I know nothing tho i just looks like that to the laymans' eye.

Dive2Blue since when was this thread labeled "Lets talk about a boxer getting added" if I am reading correctly it's supposed to be a discussion about what styles you'd like to see in the future. I don't really get why you're bashing on Seidon for just moving on to another style. . .

His fighting style would be a fusion of Jeet Kwon Do, and Brad's Kick boxing.
A lot of simple strikes but some dodging thrown in there. Also has a lot of low kick type moves to trip and mess up opponents footing. Throw strength a little above Jacky's.

Backround- Junaid was an underground fighter at youth using it to earn some money for his improverished family. He was known to use low kicks to repeatedly knock down and trip opponents until they gave up in order to avoid excessively hurting them. Eventually he became famous in the underground and earned a name for himself as an honorable fighter. J6 feared that Junaid's morality and excess knowledge of the underground would become troublesome and asked him to kill one of his opponents in a match in order to test his obedience. Junaid refused and has since been a targeted for assassination himself. He was forced out of any sort of fighting competition and narrowly escaped multiple assassination attempts. J6 even killed multiple members of his family to try and draw him out. Junaid then fled with his family to America but still fears J6 will find and continue to hurt them. Junaid then met Jacky and joined him in his crusade to destroy J6.

 

I'd say something completely new would be cooler, not a fusion of Jacky and Brad.

I think you're right. I don't think Dive2Blue knows what he's talking about. Once he got upset over because a vfdc member had written about Stun-Palm-of-Dooming an old lady.
A real martial artist would know that true strength comes from using your martial art skills and hurting people with it.
Do you know how to do a Stun Palm of Doom? Probably not. That's because you haven't practiced on the perfect sparring partners, old ladies.

Dive2Blue, if you've never Stun-Palm-of-Doomed somebody then, I'm sorry but you're not a true martial artist until you do.
