I agree with MasterPro, he is right-on, except I don't enjoy losing; however I know its necessary to learn. You know the cliche... you're only as good as your competition and that's good or bad. Example: a lot of players don't like playing Noobs or Button Mashers, but they can be a decent gauge of your so called skills or lack there of. If you have played against the computer, quest mode and some other mid to upper range players and you think you've got your game were you need it to be. So now maybe you think you can't find know comp... Put your skills up against a Button Masher or a Cheap player and see if you can find away around what they are doing. Samething with the Noobs; play against them and see if they find chinks in your armor or see how long it takes them to figure what you're doing and get around it. Who knows maybe the Noob is a Diamond in the ruff.

Personally I am (GamerTag: Faison) not that good, but I do try to learn and put out some type of competition and learn from my wins as well as my losts. Off the subject for just a second; I love Goh and Lei Fei, but I use Lei because I can't use that F&%#?!* 360 controller with Goh. Not an excuse, just a fact.

You know your right true fighters know that sometimes even you need to practice against..........well I don't called them noobs just begainners or....... just lower skill levels. but yea you do need to practice and learn all the ways you can be defeated even the simple annoying ways that you think may not work. In live tourneys it's quite embarrasing to defeat High level fighters and then loose to something simple and repeated over and over. But It just seems like now those simple tactics have taken over the fighting game industry and too many people are just learning a few safe moves that work and keep repeating a variation of them. for me that's unfulfilling because as in any competition the competitors not only try to win but show a full knowledge of their craft with a lil stlye and technique. I would even go as far as saying it's even beautiful to lose to when you can clearly see your opponent is an expert at his art and looks good while winning. TODAYS FIGHTERS HAVE LOST THEIR LOVE OF STYLE AND TECHNIQUE AND CLEARLY ONLY CARE FOR THE WIN.I call this, "CHARACTER DISRESPECTING!!!"

'Character Disrespecting'... I like it and I'll remember and try not to do that as I compete.

We sometimes hold tournaments where both player1 and player 2 are in the
training room. We score these tournaments best on points given from a live judge.

These tournaments reward style and technique as opposed to cheap play.

Not everybody likes this. But for those of us who like that aspect of the sport of VF
this is another method to have a tournament.

Just enter the training and let player 2 select a character. Then the clock is not a factor, the health meter can be dealth with and a human judge can score the rounds.
