Yeah, the guy never seems to stop attacking, and any slight latency can throw off my counter attack seeing as I play as wolf.

I've been using his defensive hold a lot against Lei Fei players.

Most of the lei players online appear to be good at first sight but if I can hit them with the same defensive hold and my shoulder tackle over and over again then they are obviously just randomly busting out button combinations.

Spurred on by latency they are very hard to counter unless you either have some good Virtua Fighter experience or experience with Lei in general.

People have been moaning at me recently for using Wolf's giant swing to throw them out of the arena. I know lag makes it somewhat hard to throw escape but it doesn't hinder a players ability not to perform unsafe attacks.

I abused this one Eileen player earlier today.

He couldn't tech when he fell and he wouldn't ever bloc.

The following combo until I put him out the ring.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

Not very nice, I know that but the guy was talking some serious shit from the second I joined the room.

Apparently the avoid option doesn't work with Virtua Fighter 5. I know for sure that it does work with other games though. That kind of sucks. In any case, when I experience unbearable I just disconnect during the first round. The other player should be considerate enough to understand why.

I love fighting face to face in close range, my only problem is that I gravitate towards Lei.

I do not like attacking from long range and to a much lesser extent mid-range, but oh well, its what I have to do to win.

    Two strategies that bore me: /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif Lei players and players who /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif .

I literally just finished playing with a Lei player who was doing just as you said.

He stopped doing the low punches after the first round but he then just mashed out combos.

    I ended up beating him by only using my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and then /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

Not hard to avoid whatsoever but he got trashed by it.

I guess so but I naturally assume every lei fei button basher is an asshole.

I've elbowed people from the start to the end of multiple rounds in a row, and any attempt to reason with them is met with shouting and racial slurs. I think we'll just worry about the people who ASK for help.

Otherwise, elbow. And I'm not even good at this game.

What part of your arrogant ass(the asshole right?) told you you are entitled to an apology when lag occurs?

People like you make me sick.

No one told me I was entitled to anything. It's common courtesy to show regret when presenting a laggy connection. This isn't asking for much--as many people have jumped on their mics to explain that they don't know what is going on with their connections or that they're really sorry about it.

It's a whole different can of worms when the player gives you the impression that playing under lag is something they're accustomed to because of their awful connection. I've experienced this for years with DoA and it's down-right inconsiderate. So I show no remorse when leaving these players bad reviews. Matchmaking under the condition that you knowingly have a bad connection is unsupportive to the community.

As far as your dislike of me is concerned, it's fine. I'm not here to please any particular person. However, I do recommend you refrain from further reading any of my posts since they make you so "sick."

I don't think people should have to apologize for having a bad connection to you.

I connect perfectly to people in the UK and Europe, even some people in Saudi Arabia.

But there comes an occasion when I play with some American or Canadian and the game becomes unbelievably laggy.

Seeing as I'm used to playing with little to no lag I automatically assume it's the other player's fault.

And the above statement bodes true for everyone.

I really don't understand why there's an argument here. I mean, it's a simple enough concept to grasp that some people truly do not appreciate lag.

I'm getting the impression that some of you believe that I may be running around XBL just handing out bad reviews at the slightest hint of lag. This is simply not the case. But if I get the impression that you're a player who constantly runs through matchmaking (especially ranked) with an awful connection, im giving you a bad review. Point, blank, period.

Now I experienced a minor lag issue with someone once which made it incredibly hard to tech roll. This player was using Aoi and was able to ground grapple me every time. I kindly told the player that I didn't wish to play him until he's able to clean up his connection. He replied with a message acknowledging my concern and said he would stay clear of my hosted matches. There's no reason in the world I would even think about leaving him a bad review as he was considerate of my complaint.

On the other hand, I've played people whos connections were so bad that I would hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and it would come out about a second later. And this would be the case throughout the whole match. I think to myself, he may be from another country--fair enough. I set up another match and guess who joins? The same idiot who I just finished playing (bad connection and all). I kindly ask the person to refrain from joining my matches and he does it again. I proceed to give this individual a bad review.

I really don't understand how that makes me Adolf Hitler. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

I understand that you do not appreciate lag, no one really does. But giving someone back feedback for unsporting conduct because they don't connect well with you is just ignorant.

The people you kindly ask not to join may not speak your language, or they may not be able to actually hear you for a number of reasons.

Unless the person was to actually say. 'Screw you, I'll join your game if I feel like it' I don't think giving someone back feedback is warranted.

To each their own I guess.

And I think you should apologise for wasting my time with your inane drivel here, I will continue to waste my time with it since I have that right and continue to blame you for doing so.
It makes as much sense as your stupidity does when blaming others for things that more often then not are out of their hands.

Also, I hope to meet you online during some fight so I can take a notch of one of those precious lil rankings you take way too seriously.

How the fuck does this even vibe with what you said earlier?
First you said THIS: If an opponent lags and doesn't get on his/her mic to apologize about it, I make sure to give that player a bad review with a complaint of unsupportive conduct (because playing with a laggy connection is exactly that). I also make sure that I hit the avoid player option.

It urks me more that the player would have the nerve to try to find me for another match after a huge lag experience.

    ______________________________________

That tells me and anyone else reading it that you are a fucking asshole who decides to give people bad feedback simply whenever you have lag in a match and they dont grovel on their knees asking you for immediate forgiveness.

Now FUCK OFF with that shit, Homey dont play that.
Now where did I leave my sock?

Dude, what is your problem? For starters, I don't even know who you are--yet you feel compelled to call me an asshole as if I have truly done something to you in particular.

You're giving me the impression that you're just trying to pick a senseless forum-fight with me. Nothing you're typing is the least bit constructive nor have I given you a reason to resort to name calling.

If you don't agree with my method of dealing with severe laggers then you're entitled to that. But for decency's sake, be mature about it.

Losing to lag can be very annoying, however this online and there many variables that contribute to lag. Sometimes I just want to play and hope for the best. I try to look for the best connection and hope it has no lag.

Sometimes I run the risk of getting a very laggy connection by hosting a match. Bottoline is I don't take online too seriously.

I use it a tool to expose myself to different styles and skill levels. Every bit of experience helps.

The Wolf players who use that spinning throw to ring you out.

That's the only strategy that gets me sorta angry. Anything else I just accept and move on like a Taoist monk.

Online should only be used to learn the fundamentals.

Until you play seriously offline you cannot truly get better.

Online tactics will become part of your game if you only play online.

I use the giant swing all the time to ring people out.

The throw is breakable you know.

I know it's breakable. The strategy just gets under my skin. Oh by the way, I hate you for using that tactic.
