i dont care if im wrong. its not a big deal. just as long as you can give me a valid reason why im wrong. i like the fact that some of you really are educated about the gaming industry. some of you guys really know your shit, which is pretty cool.

Yeah! And Van-Damme as Jacky, The Rock as Taka,
Halle Berry as Vanessa (no, wait, that's good casting),
I mean Vanessa Williams or Beyonce as Vanessa,
one of the guys from Queer Eye For The Straight Guy as Lion,
and Mario Van Peebles... as Brad /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

It'll be almost as good as Street Fighter the movie! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I'm trying to figure out how "improving" anti-aliasing on the game can make it look crisper, but whatever.

Also, I swear any screenshots I see of the 360 version make everything look more plastic, whereas I thought the PS3 version looked pretty goddamned fine, myself.

    Gamespot.com VF5 X-box 360 Preview 21-06-2007

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The info we did get was basic overall with some interesting tidbits thrown in. To sum up, the game will have 720p support and offer the core content found in the PS3 game.

In addition, the team is improving the AI, as well as adding analog stick support and rumble. The dojo mode will now feature exact recoveries to help players perfect their timing and also let you change your starting positions if you so desire. Though not related to the software, Sega noted that Hori is planning on releasing a fighting stick for the game in the US. The questions that got no comments and "wait for E3" replies focused on if there were any new modes being included, support for downloadable content, Xbox Live support of any kind, or anything else cool being tossed into the game. We'll cross our fingers and hope for the best.
    </div></div>
The biggest confirmations here are obviously improvement of the A.I (of course to what extent the improvement will be is unpredictable), and that Hori will be releasing an arcade stick, specifically for VF5 on the 360.

Dude are you named Hikaru after Macross Hikaru or is that really your name?

Hikaru, the "IMPROVED anti-aliasing " is actually only on the unimportant elements on the screen nobody cares about, like the people in the crowd watching the fight, and some objects in the far background. The fighters themselves and most (like 90%) of the background is ALREADY at least 4X antialiased. Like if 360 changes that to 8X or 16X antialiasing could you realy tell the difference? Like when I crank up my video cards settings to 16 X anti aliasing and maximum antroscopic filtering (whatever that is) I cant really tell the diffrence. Its just for numbers worship and nothing else.

What bugs me is IGN refered to the sony version of Vf5 as having "aliasing issues" that need to be addressed in the 360 port. There must be a bug in the U.S. ps3 version, because I own the Jap ps3 version, play it bin 1080p and there's NO aliasing issues at all. The only time the anti aliasing fades is INTENTIONAL, when tthey are doing a fade out at the end of a match.
Also GAmespot said in their review that the US PS3 version has lip synching problems, that are off cue. Either Jeff Gertsman is a fat LIAR , or thats another U.S.-only bug.

Anyway we'll have to wait all the way untill October 2 if it doesnt slip AGAIn to find out how good 360 VF5 looks . If it can top the 1080p Jap version (which I doubt) Ill be surprised.

pretty minor thing here, but in some of the screens of akira, he's wearing some black bandages on his hands.

these aren't in the PS3 version, iirc. might mean updated item lists for those who care.

I dont know about that improved AA being on only unimportant things. It looks like its on EVERYTHING. Especially on the edges of the characters compared to the backdrop. Its like full scene AA of sorts. So far I think it makes the game look a little less detailed. I think it will depend on your HDTV weather or not this effect looks better to you or not.

All Im concerned with is balance tweaks and or items. If the 360 has either of those, Ill be disatisfied with my PS3 version. (not that Im exactly satisfied with it either way, the console port is truly half baked IMO as is)
