What if There was a Live Action Virtua Fighter?

I don't think the name is that awful, I can think of tons of old bands that have shit names but continue to sell millions of records. Sega have treat the VF games pretty poorly over here though so it might benefit from a name/brand change, though I don't see the VF name hurting it's popularity in Japan.

Street Fighter is only a better name by about 0.00001%, when do you see people complaining about the name for that game?

 

Just call it DEVIL SHARK. Instant winner.

 

I personally like the name Virtua Fighter. Maybe it's the V, but I think it sounds cooler than Street Fighter, not that there's anything wrong with that name, either. That poster is laughably horrendous.

 

I would have let it slide if you said "horrendously laughable." But since you said "laughably horrendous". . . what, do you think a VF movie poster could look any better? People here laughed AT Tekken and King of Fighter movies when they came out, and rightfully so. But no one claimed a VF movie could look any better.

Extended Storyline:

It is a world where MMA is now the number 1 sport world wide. Nations now use the sport as point of national pride and political power. Dana White is now among the richest most corrupt men on the planet. J6 has strategically placed some of their best fighters in each rank class. Dural is J6's secret weapon to take global power from the UFC empire.
But a class of heroes have arisen from the little people, and they hope change everything....

 

Even if a live action Virtua Fighter movie isn't very popular, I'll still be willing to watch the movie anyways

 

Dural's terrorist cell will be funded exclusively by Bison Dollars.

i would say they could make movies out of side-stories for individual characters, but they already did one for jacky. it was called "speed racer"

also wow, the quest is a terrible, terrible movie. just watch the beginning where the old guy beats up some dude(s).

 

Ya know, the fact that King of Fighters had a live action movie stunned me. HOWEVER, Virtua Fighter can be done decently if they're careful. By decent I mean "so bad it's good" kinda like the Street Fighter Movie with Belgium Waffle Guile I MEAN Jean Claude Van Dame, and the god like performance of Raul Julia, (seriously, Raul Julia was awesome in that movie despite him not being Thai). But just think about it! It can be a fun crap movie! A bunch of colorful martial artists with an evil robot lady taking over it! Of course, they can make it worse by making the plot convoluted, and making all the Asian characters but that one guy white, and have also that one famous guy (probably Ryan Reynolds) playing a role, with mutations, and darky dark pasts, with Akira getting it on wit Sarah, and it have rated R since Dural ripped off Jacky's Head off and kicked it at Pai's head which, knocks her head off, and makes Jeffery explode for no reason! So don't get me wrong, it can be really dumb to the point where it will make you want to kill yourself! OR.

I think for the Virtua Fighter will be a Hollywood movie it will feature all the characters from the game to be in the film.
The film will be set in Virtua City in America run by the Virtua J6 Corporation, They are hosting a Fighting Tournament which all fighters will test their fighting skills and fighting against the cyborg named The Dural Project Goh The head owner of the Virtua Corp who is creating the Dural and using the fighters DNA results to use for his data samples.
But one fighter Akira Yuki is a fighter who fights for his pride to stop Goh from reaching his goal.
Sounds like a good idea to you all VF fans.
