What do you think about the tutorial mode?

My English is poor, I just want to say: tutorial is just tutorial.
If you are an experienced player and expecitng more challenge,
you can get everything you want from the game even without the tutorial mode.

I have noticed that everyone who praises the crap out of the tutorial mode already knows the game's system and general mechanics.

I remember not long after getting into VF, I only had Evolution. I learned it pretty much on my own through Quest mode and command training. I found that the tutorial mode was a huge plus to most people who had played the game. I tried it and never felt so insulted. It might have been helpful if I'd never touched a fighting game before (and I definitely see its uses for new players, nowadays), but back then, I didn't get why it was such a big deal that the game puts you through the most basic of basic information.

Don't get me wrong; I don't still think the tutorial mode is useless and intellectually demeaning. I haven't personally met anyone who started out with tutorials over learning on the spot, I guess is my point.

I like it. I don't absolutely love it, but I think it's nice that there's step-by-step tutorial for newcomers... or for me. I always discover new moves, stuff I didn't know, and I'm getting to like Taka's moves better, something I was really looking forward to when I found out VF5FS was coming to consoles.

I think they did a really good job. it's a great entry-point for players who might have wanted to play before but where shy away from because the game seemed very demanding.

both this and Skull girls have a very well thought out tutorial mode. it's far more useful than throwing out combos that people might never use in a real match.

The tutorial is... better than nothing. It's not really great or terrible... but it is... off. :S

The tutorial is TOO barebones. I know they're to educate the casuals as fast and painless as possible, but this is TOO bare. Also, their efforts are moot in the end because some of the last tutorials will completely be over the head of noobs. Also the "combo tutorial" was INCREDIBLY STUPID because it doesn't actually teach you a combo. It just says "DO A COMBO!" and what I've noticed about noobs playing fighting games is that they NEVER understand what constitutes as a real combo. They'll think something like Pai's PPPK is a "combo". So that particular tutorial lesson fails hard.

And from an advanced point of view, it's a shame to not see more techniques. I don't think this game made you practice Evading Throw Escapes. Would've been nice to see lessons that teach the rules of the combo system. (when exactly can you get a bounce/slamdown?) Especially would've love an advanced explanation of the wall combo system.
