To be able to get items from one version of the game to another and saving them on external video cards is something I really like and you guys made great points. It would be a shame if they didn't allow for the sharing to data especially we opt save them onto a SD card or something like that (I have my PS3 VF5 game saved on a MS pro as a back up to my hard drive if I go to someone else's house and they have VF5 as well). If could use that card on a 360 to transfer items and profiles over without having to deal with the hassle of starting over it would be great (If i worked on a character for a long time it would be a shame to have to start them over) Like I did from VF4 to VF4 evolution. If it could be simplified it would be a plus for both systems.

In all honesty I don't think they will do it because sharing is something the media industry in general doesn't do all that well and if they just stop and think for a moment that even though they may lose some money early they will get it all back and then some down the road with improved buyer turnout overall. That isn't any of my concern however it is all up to them.

I will continue to play my PS3 version. In all likelihood, after the X360 release and a bit of time, a patch will be released. I am in no hurry to spend another $500+ chunk of change for one game.

I'm sure there is zero chance you can take your character profiles from PS3 and transfer them to the 360 version.

I know, that is why I said my honest opinion later in my post and it is a shame these people can't try to work together they could very well make VF5 so good that Tekken 6 or SC4 would never be able to beat in overall sales but as I said before the media industry doesn't like sharing ideas and this really a waste.

if you bought ps3 just for vf5 just sell it then get the 360 version. Or wait for the eventual Vf5 Evo game for Ps3, but of course by then they will most likely launch both versions together

if your willpower is anything like mine when it comes to vf, then you'll have an xbox the day vf5 comes out. Just think, you'll be able to take your char profile, including your fav costumes and win loss ratios anywhere! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Improved ai and an improved dojo! You know you want it, Talis! :p

Plague, I'll just bring my 360 over when I get some sticks working and will play that on thursdays for Riverside VF. It'll be like my situation where I somehow staved of the desire to buy a PS3 to wait for the 360/afford college.

That's just it. I bought the PS3 for more than just VF5. While the Xbox 360 does have an impressive lineup, my time is very limited and more of my "must have" game are on the PS3 than on the 360.

ITs sad that people arent getting the 360 version when sega said they wernt adding anything to the ps3 version.

The cause of these high priced sytems...

Most people cant bebothered to have bothered to have more than one sytem...some cant even afford one.

Will pass on the 360. Sega's gonna provide the relevant upgrades to
the PS3 because the revenue stream is too big to pass up. Although
there are players that have both consoles, there are alot of Playstation loyalists that wont switch because of the investment, or contempt for microsoft etc. Sega wants the dollars from that group of players also. In this case for Sega two is better than one. So I'm betting that the next release of VF on the PS3 will
    have relevant upgrades.

I'm not gonna dog online play, but I'd much rather have a high quality and realistic AI.

But how long are you willing to wait for a PS3 upgrade? Sega sure won't do anything until 360 sales have petered off. They're just losing money otherwise.

How long would you wait? 6 months? 12 months? 18 months?

If you plan on attending tournaments/competing at higher levels, you have no choice but to switch to the 360 version for now. If you're just playing casually, play whatever version of the game you like... I'd still be playing VF2.0 casually, but I choose to go to tournaments to test my abilities. I'll have to upgrade to the newest version.

Oh I still have a lot of work to do on the PS3 VF5. I can't compete at level beyond where I'm at anyway. And as I've said many times I learn more from the game win I lose. And there is no shame
in defeat only in how defeat is handled.

I can wait 18 months. I think we had to wait that long from VF4 Evo
til VF5 anyway right? And everyone that I spar with is on the PS3 and don't have any intentions on going to Xbox.

Besides I have Linux Loaded on my PS3, I use my PS3 for software development because it has 9 processors. Its connected to a network of Sun Ultra Sparcs. Also I use it for a Blueray
player. You should check out Underworld, or Final Fantasy Spirits within on Blue ray.

I cannot realistically run Linux on 360, and my Blueray movies won't play on it either.

I wish the 360 players out there much fun, but for me... Its a no.
