      Interesting article with Justin Scarpone. It goes more into the business side/strategy of SEGA. And if anyone was skeptical of the casual reference of VF in the Video Games Chronicles article, VF was mentioned casually again!

      The main points of interest I got from the the Games Industry article:
      • Sega mainly has two teams for its transmedia initiatives of its IP: Transmedia East and West.
      • Transmedia West: North America and Europe, Burbank, CA, USA and UK offices. Burbank office has success with the Sonic IP, expanding their role with other IPs
      • Transmedia East: is two to three years behind US and EU, but has seen success with recent IP Metaphor released in October. Office in Tokyo, with plans to expand to China, Korea, and Singapore.
      • Different IPs will be handled in different ways depending on where they hail from.
      • Surprisingly it looks like the SEGA Legacy IPs (includes VF) will be handled by Hez Chorba (previously worked for LucasFilm), Vice President of Business and Creative for Transmedia West.

      Yea its kinda strange in a way..like..

      I know they know how much we all would love a new VF. But personally I kinda imagined it being announced through like a trailer of some type..but I guess beggars can't be choosers so I'm fine with how they casually announced it...

      Just feels like it's them saying "oh yea and there's a new VF on the way, hope you like it (y)" without it being a little said in a more exciting way. Like this is a VERY big deal Sega, please be more enthusiastic lol.

      Hopefully we get some visuals out at least in the near future. Shit...with all these teasers floating around throughout the year, I kinda almost thought we wasnt going to get ANYTHING this year, like they had forgot :LOL: But anything is better than nothing..

      But add all of the new MuayThai stuff to Van as well as her original Muay Thai stuff;)

      But also add 4 new styles:

      • Wing Chun or Pak Mei
      • Xing Yi Quan
      • Capoeira
      • Tai Chi Quan

      I would also love to see traditional Boxing in VF. A character with only punches would be extremely unique, and I wonder how the developers would go about that. Would they make the kick button do more punches, or would they pull a Tekken and make the kick button utilize unique, character specific movement. That, and a full fledged Tae Kwon Do practitioner are what I would like to see.

      I was off by two weeks and it was not V, but an upside down V or stylized A. Which makes sense with the revealed "VF is back" logo.
