    WCG screwed me over. [IMG]

Yesterday I was waiting on the results of Wednesday match between LA Akira and rockstar. I kept checking as of midnight PDT.

I checked the schedule this morning and they bumped rockstar past Gerald and then me. I've checked his info and his gamertag has never signed up on Xbox Live. [IMG]

I've opened up a support ticket.

Rockstar is my next opponent and I have also opened a support ticket since his GT isn't real.

Good luck to RayBladeX in this Sunday's final 4. Our matches all went to round 5. Game 3 was crazy. Nice wins. Still shaking as I type this. Tournaments are wild.

They updated the bracket tonight. I have to face DrDogg to advance into the final.

I'll be free to play tomorrow.

    Good matches Shag!

Typical WCG style, I can't update with the win. Support ticket #2.

At least they fixed the bracket so we could play though.

Cidkid won in a terribly bad set of lag matches. I think the lag was intentional, but if it was or not (I have no way of knowing for sure) it doesn't matter because that's what happens in online tournaments and there's no way around it.

I just find it odd that he request a connection test, that played out just fine with normal online latency, then as soon as we get into the real set of matches there's tremendous lag.

    Oh well, good luck offline.

Cidkid has more class then that, no offense to you because you made it to the finals and all, but I think he's more then capable to win the matches without having to intentionally lag the shit out of your set. I think the only way to really know is if he posts here and states whether he did or not, I don't believe it for one second.

Ggs to Drdogg. Congrats to CidKid!

CidKid also requested a connection test with me, but I didn't think anything of it. It's a smart thing to do ,imo . Just don't do anything that may give away your playstyle (we simply did movements around the ring during the test).

Online gaming has lag, so lag was already expected when I played him yesterday.

    Again, congrats to Cidkid.

Kamais_Ookin thanks for the kinds word. and to answer your question DrDogg, I did not intentionally lag up the game. I asked everyone that I played to have a connection test and none I had a problem with it. Also Adamyuki and koujou Akira can confirm that you don’t have the best connection , so it’s not just me and Adamyuki was the one who warned me about your connection. Also you won the first match between us so why are you complaining about it, I could see if I had an easy match with you but that wasn’t the case I had work for those wins. I shouldn’t have to give you explanation about this and one of those reason’s is that I’ve beaten some of the top players in the U.S. (not to sound like arrogant asshole, lol) to get my skills where they are today. So there’s no reason for me to do this, I win with pure skill and that’s how I’ll continue to win

Once you participate in this online tournament, you should be aware that "lag" is unavoidable. WCG should restrict all players in their own areas to prevent this kind of problem, but unfortunately they doesn't.

If CIDKID didn't do it intentionally then fine, I apologize for the semi-accusation. As I already said, I have no way of knowing for sure and either way it doesn't matter because nothing can be done about it. I don't know CIDKID or this community, so I have nothing to go on but the facts.

What made me cautious is the fact that our connection test match was fine. We didn't get lag until the real matches took place. If you guys can't see why I'd be a little on edge after something like that, then I don't know what to tell you.

My connection is fine. It all depends on location within the US as to how good the connection will be, and the VF5 net code isn't exactly the best anyway. But it's online play so it's not like you're going to get a very good match.

If Adam had a problem with our connection he could've said something to me instead of talking behind my back. That doesn't give me a very good impression of him at all. I would've just given him the win since I know he's far beyond my level in VF5. I didn't see any severe lag when I played Adam, but he lives much further away from me than you do CIDKID (assuming you're closer to the west coast).

And the fact that I won the first match means nothing in that kind of lag. Online matches are bad enough without severe lag.

I haven't played VF5 competitively in well over a year, and I don't practice the game at all outside of my WCG matches, so I don't expect to beat the top players around here. I won't even start playing again if I qualify for US Nats, because Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur IV are my main competitive games right now.

I just don't like to lose an important match under such severe lag, especially when the test match was fine.

cidkid: " so, im fighting drdogg, how is he?
adamyuki: "I had some bad lag with him so watch out"
    cidkid: "alright..."

drdogg translates this as talking behind his back....

Seriously man? I mean seriously? Does it look like I had a transcript of the conversation? That's really ignorant of you to say.

Here's the only info I had on the subject and what I took as talking behind my back...

Now I had planned to ask Adam what was up to get it cleared up, because as you so easily ignored, I don't know anyone around here so I didn't know if that's something I should take poorly or not. Now that I know what was said, I don't have to.

I am curious as to what Adam thinks is "bad lag". Our connection seemed normal to me and FAR better than what I played CIDKID in.

Also, who is koujou Akira? I don't recall having "bad lag" with anyone other than CIDKID, and I don't even recognize that name so I'm wondering if they're confusing me with someone else.
