WCG West/East Brackets

Hmm... took a peek at the brackets, and though no one seemed to noticed around here, it seems adamYUKI, made it through to qualify this round. Congrats to him.

Well, no matter what I do it's pretty clear I'm not going to win, but I'm still hoping to make a decent showing and pull a few upsets. The important thing though, is it'll be a fun trip, and a chance to learn more about VF in a few days than I could with months of playing it by myself.

 

Good games to AdamYuki, I played him in the finals. I gotta work on forcing my 50/50 more. But i dont think i am doing 2 bad for my 1st year in this competition.

 

Yeah, congrats to Adam and good matches to Adam and everyone else I played.

Not realizing it was Adam until after I beat OMNE, I completely lost my desire to compete. Sorry for the lackluster second game OMNE. I just didn't care after playing Adam. I almost just gave you the forfeit win so I could get back to my work.

Oh well, still a few more spots left, but I just can't get into this game anymore. The lack of a local scene really turns me off. I only play during my WCG matches... I don't even warm up for them. ^_^

About the National Finals: The WCG National Finals are to be held at the New York Anime Festival in New York, NY, September 25 – 27th of this year.

Remember, only US Citizens with a valid US Passport will qualify to be part of Team USA. This means that if you are not a US Citizen, or do not have a valid US Passport you will be unable to participate in the WCG Grand Finals to be held in Chengdu, China in November should you qualify at the National Finals. It is highly recommended that you put a request in for your Passport now if you do not already have one, as it may take months to complete the process.

It seems like final will be 10 players. Well, I don't know is there another gathering coming on East this year coz most people are tired of VF now. But if we can make a small party, that will be great!!!

No big deal, We will probably meet again as far as i see it. Im glad i got a chance to play against Adam, Even in the loss, it made me more confident that i can compete. I dont think there are too many great players left in the tourney besides KOD, RBX, and yourself. forgive me if i dont know most players,i just havent played anybody else that has sprung to my mind. Im kinda disappointed in the guy that disconnected on me at the end in the losers bracket. Kinda weak sauce. oh well, still was a "W".

So many no shows... I'm running into people who haven't even turned on their 360s in months. -_-

 

Heh - I think they fill out these brackets with random people. I got a few over the past couple months that never played VF, etc. Also - I had a GT that was OG XBOX - it was mAsh or something like that.

Regardless - my guy last night was real and tonight looks to be real, too. Hope he makes it by 11:00 pm Pacific (that's how long I told him I'd wait).
