Lol, I'm an Eva fan too, but I liked the original better than the remake so far. Although, I've only seen the first part, so maybe the second part sets the bar a bit higher.

 

I watched the first one, too. that was completely a copy of from the original episode 1 to 6. The second one is a part of eva, but you should think of it as another episode of evangelion. they changed Asuka's family name, a new chacacter will come out, and other Angels look completely/ very/ a bit different( it depends on each angle. Kaoru is completely the same, you know?)

I will definitely purchase it if they make a DVD

 

I doubt there's any "if" about it. But if they are making all these changes, it really makes me wonder, where are they going with this? Given Eva's complex plot and symbolism, I doubt they would change major plot details or add new characters for trivial reasons. It's going to be interesting to see how this develops.

By the way, have you read the Evangelion RE-TAKE doujin series? I read it recently, and while I wasn't completely satisfied with it, I think they did a better job of wrapping up the ending to the original Eva series than it's own creators did. Which is really saying something, I think.

 

I really want to tell you more details about eva how they changed, but I must not.

unfortunately, I am not interestd in evangelion of ANY Doujin. I usually read books which are published by a publisher. I read ''Ikari shinji Raising Project'' but not others. It could be the book which you are looking for, but Im not sure.

are you going to the event, Xzyx987X? I thought you are qualified to the US final. If you can let me stay at your room, I may visit the event, too(not to disturb the tournament lol) it depends on my school though.

I saw this discussion about the WCG and wanted to give a little heads up. They're going to be giving away free passes for the event at an unknown location(to me at least).

I heard this on the radio driving to work this morning on Hot 97. although I didnt get to hear it to it's full potential, maybe we could all work together in finding the time/location of the free pass giveaway? I've tried for an hour looking on the internet with no luck, maybe you'd hear it on the Hot97 web radio thingy?

If we could get this info, no one has to pay for that crappy anime festival to see the tourney.

Hmm... no, that doesn't appear to be the one I was thinking of. I think though, while doujin authors don't usually have anything as interesting to say as the original creators, Evangelion RE-TAKE is an exception. But it's up to you if you want to read it or not.

I'd certainly like to let you stay, but there would be a number of difficulties. First, I'd have to get my roommate's permission, as all the WCG contestants have to share a room with one other contestant. And I'm not sure if you'd mind being in a room with someone else for that matter. Also, I would need to clear it with the hotel, as I am not sure that the deal WCG has with them for the rooms would allow them to be shared with an extra person.

But, if you don't mind, I will do everything I can to make it happen.

 

All the VF players were paired up in hotel rooms last year except me. I don't how I was fortunate to being solitary but I let Silly_Willy crash in my room.

Also as Shirt stated I'll be working as the VF5 judge/official for the event. They told me they would prepare in getting me a hotel room so I wouldn't have to commute back and forth to home each day.

If they give me a room and if I don't have to share it with another official, I'll let my friends crash.

 

I haven't brought up to the WCG admins about free passes but I will next time I'm in contact with them, promise.

 

i posted up a little more about the location/time of free WCG passes that i heard on Hot97 radio station. if you guys are willing to, since i've been going crazy listening to commercials on hot97 all day... we could actually find out where and when we can get free passes to the WCG. i'm not beat to pay for an anime festival that i wont even be interested in.

oh, when i went to seattle for WCG 2007, i had a room all to myself too. i partied all freakin night LOL when competition started at 9am, i was already up for the bus and sleeping in the VIP gamers lounge on a sumo pillow thing LOL
