You can take public transportation from either LGA or JFK.

First off, you will need to purchase a MetroCard. Vending machines selling them are available at the airports.

You can take the M60 bus out of LGA to any subway.

If you are coming into JFK, you would have to take the AirTrain ($5) to leave the airport. Take it to Jamaica station and then board the E train going to Manhattan.

It's being hosted by the New York Anime Festival. New York Anime Festival Events

Last year WCG gave free passes to players to give to family/friends. I don't know yet if they will give them out this year.

Yup, it's open to the public. It's going to be held inside the New York Anime Festival. You can buy your tickets for the festival right here. The tournament will be on both the 25th and the 26th, so the weekend pass would be your best bet if you want to attend both days.

yeah i just checked the prices and while im not broke them tickets seem a bit steep. I love to support my VFDC to the fullest but chill maybe some other year.

i was curious and WTF! $34 bucks for ONE day! (Saturday is $40!) for 3 hours only???, i was actually going (nah im serious stop laffing ) but, holy shit. the deal breaker was that its 3 hours...cmon! if it was longer than that I would be there

I emailed the WCG about the whole thing. I'll be going to NYC regardless. I'll be checking on here to see if there's a meet.
