No question bro. The stars were aligned in your favor! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Hats off to you for not letting the annoying situational factors affect you, and putting it all together.

Aside from character expertise and character matchup knowledge, i now realize the importance of being able to adapt to environmental/situational factors (such as those you mentioned above) - especially in a tourney setting. Unfortunately, I am quite "sensitive" to things such as the game sound, and the placement of my joystick, etc. It's just the way i evolved as a player. On top of that, i have no real tourney experience! The frustrating thing is that i really can't "train", or do anything else to overcome this sensitivity. I guess you just have to participate in as many tournaments as possible...

I see CIDKID is a pad player, AND he uses lei fei. Is there any truth to the idea that Lei might be better used on a pad. None of his inputs are too crazy, and with the constant need for stance changes that L trigger comes in rather handy. (if Cidkid himself would chime in that would be awesome /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

its a thought I've had for awhile, but no basis to prove or disprove it.

Also, as Kowtow stated, any idea as to why he went 66p 66p for wall combo instead of something more damaging?

    Lol.
thank you for such a polite and prompt answer Harlem Hater. It was informative, funny, and made my day. Your usage of warning spoiler construct is ingenious. It is sooooo refreshing to find someone on these message boards who leaves the sarcasm at the door and just answers questions truthfully, plainly, thoroughly, concisely, and succinctly.

Perhaps you should run for president.

Coulda sworn 66p wall, 4pp was guaranteed, but whatever.

66p wallstagger 46p 43p+k 466p+k is the HW wallcombo. CPU can't struggle it on max stagger recovery.

46p is 15 frames, 66p is 15 frames effectively unless you're exceptionally good at buffering it, so it's basically the same.

Keep in mind that even though the computer can't struggle out on max stagger recovery doesn't mean its guaranteed. Trust me on this

Well that combo that KOD mentioned is probably guaranteed seeing hes replacing one 15 frame move with another one. However, it should still be noted that the computer doesn't always get out of the stagger quick enough even on fastest settings.

I've had people struggle out of e.g. jeff threat p+k guarded pk, when the CPU wont; can't think of other examples at the moment. Maybe the CPU is programmed to struggle 1 input per frame, but not at the right timing? I dunno.

But yeah, like denkai said, my point was that the actual combo is about as guaranteed ( or not ) as doing another 66p.

the reason y i was whoring /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif bcuz jeff is weak against it, the only thing he could do in that situation is just /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif after a successful block or sidestep...well thats if i decide 2 throw out another /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif which i did relentlessly, also during the match could have done a number of combos like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif which causes wall stun if successful. but i chose to play it safe, its to easy 4 adamyuki to punish players who get greedy...trust me on this. there r times when i could be winning flawlessly, then magically turns it around by just one knee from jeff ( /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif), denkai and konjou knows what i'm talking about.

Cidkid speaks the truth..and yea Jeff is especially weak against 66P. no move besides 2p(depending on distance) and p will stop another one even on block for him.

Oh btw KOD heres some more examples of combos the computer wont stagger out from. Akria 42 P+G double palm and akria's break guard (6P+K+G) Yoho (33P) the latter setup however is ridiculously hard to stagger out of but according to Konjou it can be

Anyways thanks for clearing that up for me CIDKID. Now i going to do some extensive reserch on the properties of that particular move so i would'nt leave a stone unturned.

That's what I said, someone can struggle doesn't mean he is good at shacking stick, just because there is a "lag" online so u can't beat him directly. But don't give up any chance u have if u really want to~
