Did anyone take photos? A VF group shot would be nice! I'd like to put up a front page news story to wrap up the event.

He tech rolled, so he's wide open for a low throw, so he did some escapes. Shit was dope.

Do you mean I can guaranteed low throw my opponents when they tech roll? I thought I can only attack when they finish their tech rolls.

Dennis, you and every other player who play a character with low throws has done this to me [IMG] There's a small window of opportunity when players tech roll (quick rise too?) where they are considered crouching. I do it with Goh sometimes but only after certain knockdowns or combos since sometimes the recovery time won't allow me to dash to them in time to low throw.

    Thanks for the vids, Tetra.

I'm pretty sure you can't low throw while they techroll, but during the small window at the end of it.

Tony, you mention "where they are considered crouching" and that's the reason I would do low throw. But if Fuudo already guessed Tetra was going to low throw, he could actually attack back instead of doing escape, am I right?

Ash, I think your opinion is same as Tony's. "During the small window at the end of it" sounds like Tony said "where they are considered crouching".

Was it the [3] or [2] low throw escape BTW? If it was the [3] escape, then maybe fuudo was attempting the [3][P][+][K][+][G] dodge which can option select as a low throw escape.

I must say I was surprised to see the escape like that!

I see, what you're saying is "if Fuudo can do a low-throw escape, he can attack" I don't think so because I have seen a low-throw coming before and started mashing on 2P and still got thrown [IMG]
Maybe it's like that small window when an opponent rises from a knockdown without doing a rising attack. I've tried to attack but got thrown instead... but maybe that one is just online b.s. lol.

Tony, you probably got thrown because the throw was zero-frame. In other words, by the time you saw it and reacted, it was already too late. However, if you anticipated a low throw and mashed/buffered 2P, then you would have low punched for sure.

After a tech roll you recover in a crouching state, but it's definitely not a guaranteed low throw situation.

Tech rolling is where you can't stand right away, and quick rising is when you can't crouch right away.

So, tech rolling you're open to getting low thrown or hit with mids, and with quick rise you're open to getting thrown and hit with lows.

Small window for both, I guess. But if you watch, you can sweep your opponent if they quick rise, and they can't block it when you time it right.
