My apologies for unleashing the avalanche of innuendo. I really do like a thicker shaft... But I can't not laugh at that, you see. Somehow that turned into Throwmasta giving himself a "stranger." Funny

Seriously, does anyone have both sticks? It looks like on the VFHG, the stick is closer to the buttons. I have the Hori cheapo stick and I think the buttons are too close to the stick. The HRAP 3 is fine though. Is it just the pictures on playasia? I want to know.

You know the thicker shaft is simply a plastic shaft cover....

when you take it off, it's a thin metal shaft underneath.

EVM's converter (thanks dude) arrived in the mail on Saturday. I tried it out as soon as I got home from work that night. The good news, is that it works. The bad news is, either I'm getting a poor signal, or the controls have changed drastically for the worse (from an input difficulty perspective) in VF5. Not sure if it feels like lag on the converter's part. But something is amiss. Moves I can pull of with ease in VF4, are difficult in VF5. I'm going to say it has to do with the converter; or perhaps even the TV. Are the motions for the moves different as far as timing goes from VF4 to VF5 (I would doubt that they are)? Either the commands are MUCH less forgiving, or I'm getting a bad signal. Someone please confirm this for me.

Hey throwmasta.. I know that a lot of moves now take a longer frame to perform. So that might be the case in some ways. You might want to test it out with Frank and when he plays on the pad on the other controller.

Yeah, perhaps I have to get used to throws coming out in 12 frames as opposed to 8? I wouldn't have thought this to be too noticable. I'm particularly having a hard time with circular throws (the 270's, QC's, and HC's), which were never a problem for me in the past (especially with all of the SF/Zangief experience I have). Now for some reason, I'm having a helluva time with them in VF5. I keep screwing up and getting neutral throw . I guess another way to experiment with the problem would be to pop Evo in my PS3. Even though it feels like I'm experiencing a "delay" with in the controls (no matter what pad/stick I use) with PS2 games on PS3 :/.

I've read through this thread, but I couldn't find the answers to these questions. I don't have a PS3 yet or a Xbox360, but I do plan on buying the Virtua Stick High Grade for MAME in the meantime, which other posters have listed as compatible. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

1. Has a Xbox360 version of the Virtua Stick High Grade been announced or rumored?

2. I know that you need to mod a controller to get it to work on a Xbox360, but do you have to mod a Xbox360 controller for it to work on a PS3 or is there a simple converter? (This would tie into my first question... if a Xbox360 version was released)

3. If I buy a USB extension, it is possible that it will introduce noticeable lag?
