Yeah, you better make it! I'm from NJ and I've driven to Virginia to Chef_Frash's house on a right ankle that was sprained a few days before. I then had to drive a couple hours more for the actual tournament location. I'm badass! Grrrrr! Dude, it's still kind early. The way I see it tricky, shinobifist, boringryu, yupa, me, highguy_ip, and darkgift are interested in going. That's a pretty decent number of people. I'll try to get my friends from NJ to go. DarkGift is from NYC so maybe he'll get some of his people to join. Don't give up man!

Fayetteville is only about an hour and a half from NOVA. Disreali and I may make the trip up if we have the time. Also, I should, you know... talk to him first instead of speaking for him. Seven5, google maps is claiming about 3.5 hours from NYC.

 

Ive been from here to philly a few times and it took me roughly 3 hours unless there is some awesome secret route im missing lol

You would need more incentive to attract more people IMO... big payoff for winning a tournament or a VF celeb like Yosuke coming by.

Ive held gatherings for plenty of other games and have gotten huge turn outs. I Guess the vf community really ~is~ that much different from the rest.

 

Me personally, I don't care about big tournament pots or whatever. Meeting a great VF player is nice but I'm just as enthusiastic in meeting new people as well. My take on something like this is if anyone from out of town is willing to go to your place for VF then it's worth holding the gathering. The first two people I've met for any VF gathering were Shang and KonjouAkira. Before that, I had no idea how good this game was.

 

Im still gonna do it because i wanna play people offline. So anyone who is interested in coming please do!

 

I would like to come, but at this point I can't commit to anything yet. If I come, I will probably bring 2 to 4 people with me if that is okay. We would be coming from Baltimore.

 

Now that i got my new college schedule i know i can't make this. Too bad i really wanted to go.
