I just came back from an 11 hour session of watching the vf anime episodes 1-24 straight with my friends. If you know your VF, have somewhat low expectations, and watch it with a group of friends that play VF, this is great loads of fun. Calling out move names while watching the series and seeing the explanation of the moves makes it all that much more comedy. Its a very light hearted series, with a lot of cool moves. Just pretend your're Yamagishi !!

This series is strictly for fans only, i can easily see people who do not know that much about the game not enjoying as much. If you dont know VF series is probably 7/10, but if you love your VF give this series a shot i give it a 9.5/10.

I picked up a copy at best buy at 22.95 a dvd. Each dvd holds 12 episodes and theres only 2 to buy!! A complete bargain when it retails at $34 i think.

    NO HUNGRY NO BATTLE!!

it has come to my attention that there is a SEASON 2!!
Apparently episodes 25-35 as people like to call it exists somewhere out there. Does anyone have any information if any media blasters has ever done the 2nd series or any other american company ever will?

If you do plan on spending your cash on this dvd, i STRONGLY suggest you keep the receipt so you can get a dvd ripper and copy the whole dvd on you pc. Then you can ask for a refund or exchange for something else

I watched the 4 first episodes of the second season,
and it seemed really good- from a VF fan's perspective /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

These 4 episodes were subbed and on a HK videotape. Never found others...

The Virtua Fighter Anime series copied alot of contents, and jokes from Ranma Nibunnoichi, which isn't bad. It suits VF quite well, especially the relationships between the characters. Under the bottom line it is a very well-made anime with lots to see for VF enthusiastics being in love with their characters.
