The question is if virtua fighter 6 will come out? I think it will, otherwise, they wouldnt spend money on sega cup europe. What ive heard fs showdown has been doing good in arcade and psn showdown has sold quite well, over expectations....There are cups all the time in japan as well..

To cater the western market they should have more customizations that make characters look like tekken, but also japanese, so that japanese customers over in japan still can identify themselves with the character.

Hopefully in VF6 they'll have tournament mode like in DOA:

Imagine this with VF...It'd be SO hype!

Also, several other things from DOA's online that I'd like to see are:
    -16-player lobbies
    -Online Dojo
    -The online chat box

I actually really like those suggestions as well.

Maybe it's me but I really feel like DM's should be toned down. with EDCTE, it's not uncommon for us to just keep DM'ing each other and then break a throw which gets boring to almost frustrating after a point. I guess it goes back to something I said earlier where they should really be based on weight. The heavier you are, the far harder it should be to evade (so as to buff the light weights who sincerely need it against the higher damage output of the heavier people.)

While I know DM's are part of what make a 3D game -> 3D, it just doesn't sit well with me and I hope they tone it down for VF6.

Sorry for not checking the whole thread but what about the 20th VF anniversary site that
SEGA created for celebrating the VF series?
And SEGA also is hosting the DOA5U Arcade version. I believe they want to involve with the FGC once more. In other words VF6 is a strong possibility.
If there is no an announcement in December 27 (if i recall) about VF6 i will be really disappointed and loose much of my faith...
Currently its the only fighting game i enjoy the most and find hype to watch and play.
    What do you think?

I think the Dec. 26 anniversary celebrtion thing is the best time for Sega to announce a new sequel. At the same time though, I get the feeling that VF6 might actualy be one of the least likely possibilities.

Another possibility could be an announcement for VF vs. DOA. The VF guest fighters in DOA5 and U plus Sega hosting DOA5U Arcade seems to hint that it's possible, if Sega and Tecmo have been getting all chummy.

And of course there's the possibility that it will be nothing, which I think we should all probably brace for.

What do you guys think overall? Is there a possibility for VF6 or VF5FS is going
to be the Final Showdown for VF?
    Im really anxious. Sorry...

I think there's not going to be any VF6 or at least in the coming years. Sega let TecmoKoei use its characters for its own beat'em up AND Sega is going to use its own technology and coin-op to distribute ArcSystem's new Guilty Gears.

In other words this is not a celebration. More like last rites sounds to me right now.
They might as well pull the plug on VF5FS online as the next gen consoles are out and
the community will become thinner day by day.
And if they do that than what? And im sure they will since there isnt much traffic and this
    shit cost money to run.
    So sad...:(

    P.s. Sorry for sounding harsh:p

That's quite a shame that such a good series has to end like that. :/ I was really hoping for a Tekken vs. VF or a VF6.
