Anime cutscenes cost money. I don't see that happening.

On the DOA idea, I think a better idea would be to sell DOA costumes as DLC.

VF fans- lets face it, we're some of the most hardcore, intense fans of all the fighting games, we'll spend big money on VF- give us the chance to do it. Don't muck up the gameplay with DLC, but most of us would spend tons on DLC customization.

The animation was not that bad for the time and the story was ok as well.

Sega is doing fairly well financially right now, but most of that is actually on the strength of Football Manager and Total War series, not anything from Japan.

If we're talking barely animated, or 5 second long scenes maybe. There's not much precedent for a fighting game having anime cutscenes that are substantial in any way. The endings in SF4 had like 5 frames of animation.

I would like to see a story mode/ campaign in VF. I would just like to watch some cutscenes rather than reading a character's story on a website tbh. But that would be a minority seeing as all I do and most of us do is play online and train.

Sooner or later SEGA will use the upcoming PS4's potential to the Virtua Fighter series!

We just need to face the fact that it wont come right away cause people dont enjoy intelligent games that demand effort and practice these days... sadly

multi tier stages would be nice

Tekken 4 demonstrated that multi tier stages are a no-no.

I wouldn't mind if they came back honestly. Have a mix like VF3, so for tournies we could just use the flat stages.

I wouldn't mind if they went that route, as long as there was like, a 'tournament random select' or something. I just really really don't want VF tournaments (all one a year of them) to go down the SF / MvC path of picking the SAME STAGE EVERY FREAKING TIME. God help us all if VF6 introduces a 'white with black lines' training stage. I know it 'doesn't matter', but the stage variety is one of my favorite things about VF compared to 2D fighters.

@yomi: didn't tekken6/ttt2 (and possibly doa4, although not a wallsystem thats comparable) also demonstrate that multi tiers are possible?
t4, like vf3 were the first fighters trying it at this level, and imho needed to take it to certain extremes to see how far they could go. 3d fighters nowadays have multi-tiered interactive stages worked into their (combo)systems, so (again, imho) they are consistant and (to a certain extent) cannot be abused.

Admittedly I might have mixed up what you meant by "multi-tiered" stages, what I was thinking about was the Tekken 4 style uneven stages that has like staircases and stuff that caused all kinds of stupitidy in that game along with the experimental wall system, but I guess you meant the mortal kombat-ish stage transitions that T6 and TTT2 have where you can break the floor or a a wall to open the stage up a bit, which I think is a silly system as well.

Sega already did that with VF3. A lot of people weren't to happy with it, so Sega went back to the flat stages for VF 4.

first of all vf should never stoop to having to ban stages

and by multi tier stages i mean somthing like this

jacky knocks you off building " ring out"
next round is down on the streets since you got knocked off
