I don't think VF fans are ungrateful at all... It's more like VF doesn't have much fans at all.

I think the difference between the Tekken fans that I know is that alot of them don't really care that much about the gameplay design/mechanics/innovation. Unbalanced? Pick the top tiers. Inconsistent hit boxes? Avoid the situation. Stuff doesn't work as intended? Don't do it.

VF fans are exactly the opposite. Unbalanced? Fix the shit AM2. Inconsistent hit boxes? Fix the shit AM2. Stuff doesn't work as intended? It should work damn it, I'm gonna show you.

If only people would stop heralding VF as the messiah of fighting games, things would be a little easier. As uninformed or ignorant other gamers may seem, they have the right to not like VF. That is unfortunately the fact for the majority, too bad.

100% agree... I've been around on a lot of other fighting game community boards and stuff before here, and it seems the oldschool VF community here has one of the most "unique" outlooks on their game compared to other communities. People in other communities are searching for something broken or a glitch just so they can have an advantage. Here, a pixel of a hitbox looks "off" (even though the juggle STILL WORKS), and people start foaming and raving.

i'm agreeing with both of you. remember how long it took to add those features with simi cross outfit adding. but still we may. just maybe will see a fix of these issues if we make a uproar about it... if not it'll take longer then it did for all the past updates...hell if that...

which arcades are you going to? all of the ones i go to are the exact opposite (club sega in akihabara, shinjuku club sega, shibuya hi tech land, ikebukuro gigo): tons of vf machines and players, just a few tekken machines, often empty.

Unless you can see something that hasn't been noticed in the link or the images:

    THERE IS NO OTHER INFO.

But from what I heard they're removing Lau, Pai, and Kage, and replacing them with more modern characters. On top of Karate-guy and Taka, they will also throw in 7 other characters! I SHIT YOU NOT.

I heard they are adding fatalities and babalities, this too, to draw in the casual gamers.

Well I heard from undisclosed source that Chuck Norris is in the game with his own set of moves from his system Chuck Fu. You can also customize his beard to have a fist underneth it.

This is correct. I play both Tekken and VF so I know. Tekken Unbalanced? People in Tekken just lived with changes(unbalance).

People are living with playing T6 in the future which is very unbalanced with rage and bound systems. Heck I am one of the people waiting to play.

I use to like Tekken more than VF but then I realize that VF has better gameplay mechanics and is less reliant on juggling. Tekken ,especially tekken 6, it is common to launch then 60-80% combos with a wall.

Also Tekken is more mainstreamed in US at least. VF is is seen as too technical to most of tekken fans. Like for example throw escapes. One input throw escapes vs VS throw escape system. (I personally like VF system better).

But two years ago, I would say Tekken dominates VF. Not nowadays where I actually dig into VF. But I play tekken more due to more people playing it unfortunately

Wait, so no one remembers how torn apart the Tekken Community was with T4 and TTT? Don't even have to be at Zaibatsu(which im not) or any other Tekken site, to know that that community was split in half because other communities knew about it.

It wasn't about people 'putting up' with T4. The community was just split in half between people that decided to play T4, and those that continued to play TTT.

So even Evolution had both T4 and TTT featured at the sametime, at one point. Also even on SRK people get argue about 3s, and other games, with capcom though it's like nobody even knew when a new game was even going to come out so people just go back to older shit if the newer stuff is lame.

I was pleasantly suprised by the news of a new VF, and this looks to be the best VF to date. Taka's return is long overdo (hopefully his PPP isn't unstoppable like it was in 3tb) and the new stages look really well done and I can't wait to experiment with a half-enclosed stage.

I'm just hoping this somehow makes its way to consoles in the US.

thank god that 2008 will be packed with many games to help with the wait for VF5R.

the wait for VF5 was rather rough due to the lack of other games before it's release.

With SSF2THD, SC4, SF4 and T6 on the way in 2008; it will make the wait for VF5R so much easier to take then the first VF5's wait.

Important news...! it's official, the gameplay will change dramatically; now battles are up to 8 fighters simultaneously, you can run freely in 3D and throw objects to your enemy and pic items and stuff.

    This is totally true /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    i remember!

i tried giving t4 a chance, but a tournament level play you had to deal with constant jfls from jin's all day long, and it wasn't an easy move to deal with. after my 3rd tournament i hung up the gloves and said screw it. i kept playing in ttt tournaments though and made a lil cash here and there; nothing big though.

i could see how t4 would have appeal, it was an overhaul of the system in it's entirety and it had a lot of great ideas that just never came to fruition. i would love to see a t4-esque tekken iteration that would actually do the series justice.

actually there's a debate right now over at tekkenzaibatsu.com about ttt making a comeback. people are starting to remember what it was like when juggles didn't take 50%+, sidestepping took skill, and low crush wasn't even thought of yet.

ttt was a damned good game.
