Seeing as how you're 99% likely to be pulling this stuff out of your ass, I would rather you not reveal the "source" . . . vfdc doesn't need any goatse.

Seriously, though, what's the point of this thread? Once there's actual info updated, are people really going to wade through 400 posts of worthless speculation to get to it?

Maybe delete all posts by FrozenWorm (and the last 12 pages or so of this thread too!) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I bet the next theory(conspiricy) will be a guest charcter like Jin Kazama or Kazuya Mishima.

well made point...but...i think the changes between evo and vf5 are tiny....not really a sequel imo.

It's funny how VF fans seem to never be pleased now matter how innovative and balanced new installments of VF are.
Meanwhile, Namco and Tecmo just have to add a couple of characters, some crazy items, new moves/stages/outfits and their fans are raving and foaming at the mouth.

I guess when you set the bar as high as VF has, even VF itself has a hard time trying to please anybody.

I just wish that people would do a little more appreciating and a little less hating... but even then you'll have probably get called a "fanboy" just for being grateful.

I remember when I first heard the commentary in VF5, I was like "wtf?" but looking at it now, it is a very innovative and funny way of breaking the monotony.

Sega's def got their work cut out for them, since the game changes so much, they've set the bar on different levels for different people. Some VF fans think that VF2 was the best and some think that VF3 or EVO is the best in the series, all because they are all so different.

Oh well, I guess when it comes Super Smash and DOA you can please most of the people, most of the time.
But when it comes to a masterpiece like VF you can only please some of the people some of the time.

THIS JUST IN! Virtua Fighter 5R has FIVE NEW CHARACTERS! Believe it!

Honestly, I don't think FrozenWorm needs a source. He said everything he's saying is rumors that he is hearing (wouldn't be surprised if it is 2ch throwing people for a loop - they've been known to do that before). Rumors are what they are... rumors... you have to take them with a grain of salt until facts get announced. If he was saying: "Goh and Vanessa have monkey sex, and create 2 new emo characters with grey hair, CONFIRMED!", then we would need sources. As for someone using Jeet Kune Do, that makes no sense... there are already 2 Jeet Kune Do users: Jacky and Sarah.

Lol, trust me I know /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif
But at least they've been a lot more supportive of their scene than VF players... so far. I dont know if how supportive they'll be of the newest Smash installment.
Well, at least we have some of the most dedicated fans /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif as the Mexicans would say: "Somos pocos pero locos."

P.S.
Taka is back but he doesn't use Sumo style anymore, it's true!

Yeah, I heard that. He's supposed to be a TKD character now, and Sarah's out, 'cause her kicks would be simmilar, and Taka was there first /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

There hasn't been any mention of console release except by impatient tards who know a whole lot of info on this release.

Expect console release by Summer 2009 (lol) or never.

Ever heard of this game called VF4: Final Tuned? :|

Sure, VF5:R has two new characters which will qualify it as a "new" game, but still, VF5 hasn't exactly been blowing the roof of the sales charts...will it be worth AM2's time?

That's the only thing I am worried about...I don't care how many new characters there are, what kind of game changes they're going to implement, I just want it to come out on Xbox 360 (ps3 is fine too, just give it online play and I'll gladly buy a ps3 just to play it).

Somehow, with the sales numbers, I'm very pessimistic about that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Couple this with how Sega of America execs are even considering the discontinuation producing VF360 discs due to poor sales and might even shelve the whole fighting game genre.

We cannot be certain that VFR will ever see the light of day here.

I'm being pessimistic now so, if the tides roll in our favor, I can be pleasantly surprised.

Don't get your hopes up; Sega doesn't owe us shit.

I appreciate every iteration of Virtua Fighter. What would be nice is if they gave the option of flat arenas and non flat arenas so then that way everybody is happy and you do not alienate everybody. The more options you give the better. Let people make the game be what they want it to be. Of course you would still need to choose what the default would be for ranked online matches but that is ok.

I still don't know why people would ever want "non-flat" stage (besides, that's like sooooo "pages ago").

You think there are hitbox issues now? Shit, Shun's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and Eileen's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif going under sweeps? Fuck that.

And if you think Sega will fix the animations: watch a Eileen vs. Wolf match. Watch where his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif lands. And how long has VF5 been out now?
