i dont know whether to be excited or pissed because i just bought VF5 a few months ago and now R shows up...

kinda reminds me of VF4 evo and VF4...and the main reason why i couldnt get used to jacky's new animations

 

r wont show up on consoles for a very long time. if it even does show up.

 

I was watching the vid again it dawned on me that the Karate guy in R looks like the main character from the movie Fighter in the Wind. The guy was Korean, but he did use Karate and it was like a Shotokan/Kyokushin hybrid. Too early to tell though, but I wonder how much free style flash or lackthereoff he will have.

It's ok to speculate but I think we have gone a little to far.
The speculation should be held back till we see actuall gameplay footage of the 2 fighters. A lot of this is tech demo stuff, who knows maybe the new fighter has more than one stance or style (it's a wait and see thing for me), until then we should hold our speculation to a minimum.

 

Just saw the trailer, the new Karate guy seems legit. And Taka just seems like a weird addition to me, but hopefully Sega can make it work.

Yes, the guy is a little girly... but hey...!!! it's great having a VF5+ also I'm more interested in Taka Arashi than in the new guy, I hope he returned for good.

This Taka Arashi... must have a GOOD NUMBER OF MOVES because he already have moves from VF3TB, unlike the new guy who is done from scratch, also Taka will be carefully remade to ensure this time people like him and to ensure he's balanced and stuff, so... he will be good for sure /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

EDIT: Hey I just found out VF5R have another character...!!! there are 3 characters, because Taka was not a new one. This is fresh news from Japan, the new character is still a mistery but rumors tell it's somehow conected with Lau.

 

I hope he's only connected with lau story wise becuase I want a tae kwon doe fighter

Lan Di can just be a new item for Lau - "Young Face"...he doesn't really need to be another Lau-like character, we have two of those already (Lau and Pai)...
