fair enough. If I only had a PS3 I'd be just as upset as you. Although I did have to buy the game a 2nd time and shell out for 3 sticks. That could be seen as quite upsetting.

It takes something major for me to post here, but the announcement of VF5R is well worth it. Though only running on 43 seconds of video and a few still pictures, I like were they are going. A new karate fighter is something the series needed for a while and the return of Taka Arashi is just great.

I would really want to see more battles on half open arenas and hope that the new characters get their own stages. They have from light weight to super heavy weight now and it would be great to see how El Blaze fairs against Taka, or if Vanessa can throw him around as easy as Wolf and Jeffry.

Don't really want to speculate much on the Karate guy, but he seems to be the rebutle of Tekken's Leo using Akira's style by incorporating Bob's style with a more plausible figure.

My biggest concern is this hitting PS3, and that Sony actually steps up its online to be able to have decent matches. After the crap that is DR online but the ease of an FPS I wonder why things are so hugely different, and with the lack of local comp my VF skills are losing their shelf life. Here's hoping we have more info by the summer time.

    A?!

I'm totally going to pick up the new Karate fighter. I haven't liked a style this much since eileen was shown to us.

More moves from side stepping and OM would be great, I would like to see Aoi damage to be bumped up alittle, or atleast give her a float that you can actually use and doesnt require MC. A new range or circular move. Even that all out with less damage on reversal.

I just hope they have the awesome tutorial/tactics stuff from VF4Evo. As well as more clothing options.

We subconsciously asked for an Evolution and we are happy one will be coming.

Since VF4, we fat lovers have been asking for the return of Taka, now we got it, we happy.

port this on either PS3/360 or both by early 2009 and I will be happy

I agree with you. I have both 360 and PS3 so it doesn't bother me personally, but I am still hoping that PS3 owners get this game with the online features. It's not really fair that only certain VF fans get to take the game online.

What's wrong with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif? That launches no matter what. Can be pretty damaging too and pushes them towards the edge of the ring brilliantly.

Aside from the last line, this is either the best parody post I've seen, or the worst post I've read here ever.

I'm not feelin that new character, especially when they hit such a high note with Eileen and El Blaze, who turned out to be two great designs and represented their styles well. If it's karate that's cool. I feel like if they include TKD, they could maybe just push Sarah's style closer to that, since she already has Hworang style flamingo stance.

Multi-tier stages in VF6 would take a lot of memory and would make certain combo's useless,Make comboing in a Heavyweight slightly easier going downhill and alter attackanimations (Example in VF3 and 2 Character did'nt roundhouse above say Shuns head but more to his chest,Punches angle downward aslo on him.). As much as i love VF3 stage i just seen a Jacky combo vid where completely destroyed Pai going downhill on one juggle that turn me off to that era returning. Trust me Could you imagine KAge's Pop gown downhill and the endless possibilities.

i know this was from a few pages back and completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand but i can't resist pointing out that you could pick the old backgrounds by holding down the start button when you pick the stages. only works on machines that allowed stage select, obviously.

handy tip for anyone who ever finds a tb machine (never, in other words)!

I kind of liked fighting in subway station or along a montain side. But then again it's like fighting on a T word stage. (T word is...TEKKEN. Yeah I said it.)

Thanks for the tip but I already knew. I was talking about the VF3 single player. It was tb stages only in the Dreamcast versions' arcade mode.
