Yea, how can he be declare that he is a woman? I don't understand. I think it is a guy. I think Leo from Tekken 6 caused this trend of thinking he is a woman. As if they made any lady-like guy, ppl assume it is a woman because of Leo.

Well we will know soon. IF the vid had his voices we would know.

Also I think he uses karate. Check out his name.

    Karateka

Also the outfit he wearing and well you know.

he looks good though. If he is a woman, I still use her or whatever. His/Her gender doesn't really matter to me.

Karateka is not the new character name. I think it is Japanese for someone who practices karate.

Just like Goh's real name being Judoka!

    ---Japanese Lesson---

    Manga is a comic

    Mangaka is a comic artist

"ka" as a suffix on center words works as "practitioner" or making a word like art (geijutsu) into a person (geijutsuka).

However, "ka" at the end of a sentence makes the statement into a question (unless it is omitted and both speaker and listener understand the context, i.e. "mangaka?" [omit desu ka])

    Seriously, what is Taka's appeal?

The sumo fighting 'style' consists of like, eating food and bumping into your opponent. Real sumo just doesn't fit in a fighting game, imo.

I wouldn't care if they added him, but adding him in place of a new fighter that isn't retarded makes me sad.

Sumo consists of far more than that. I'd like to see you defend yourself against a sumo, you'd soon change your mind. Taka is a fat bad-ass and the news of him returning is the best thing that could happen to VF in my eyes. I've always loved him and am so looking forward to using him against the rest of VF5's cast.

Taka-Arashi is 6000 times more exciting to me than the other new character.

Think of Shaq in 2000 at his most dominant form. Did'nt use him use but is a very welcomed addition. In case you only read what you say

"Also did i mention sumo wrestlers jobs consist of Knocking you out of a ring period? lol! Wolf and Jeffry cannot be the only ones not to get man-handled by him that would be unfair and unbalanced. "

Alright, calm down... I know it's supposedly the "year of the fat people" but you can't expect everybody to like overweight fighters as much as you or other Bob and Taka fans do.

Maybe you meant to say "Taka-Arashi is 6000 times HEAVIER than the other new character."

If you don't like Taka, just don't play as him. It's that simple.

I LOVED Taka in VF3. Aoi back in the day was too flimsy and jabby, Taka was more visceral, brutal and powerful.

There are characters that I do not see myself getting into and trying to get good with them. If players chose to play as them, it's their choice.

Taka IMO is a really cool character, and violent. From his bitch slap, to his head crushing throw to his catch throws. He is totally bad-ass.

If you question his Fighting Style because Sumo is more of a sport about take downs and ring out then you should also question Pro Wrestling which is not a Fighting Style but is a form Entertainment.

Pro-Wrestling is not real, but Wolf is Bad-Ass. No one will take Wolf away because he's cool.

So if Sumo is about a Sport of take downs and ring out. Taka in VF3 was bad-ass and made VF3 super fun. Taka is as welcome as Wolf is.

Hmmm... Whatevs. I just hope they bring it to PS3 and add lots of new customizations. I could care less about Taka and new boy.

Sure, it is that simple. But like I said, if the choice was between taka and another new character that I might want to play, I'll take a new character any day.

Erm... ok, when I watch Taka fight in VF3 all I see is:

Slap, slap-slap, lunge, slap, slap, slap-slap, slap, ROFLowkick, slap, slap.

It just looks stupid to me. A sumo character only has a few attacks he can do that don't look ridiculous. I understand that sumo is more than just slamming into each other but none of it translates well into a fighting game.

As it happens I think wolf is kinda stupid too but at least the guy can throw out a kick or two. Besides, he's already in the game. If I had a choice between a character with a pro-wrestling (lol) style or a real martial art, guess which one I would choose.

Ok so Taka's appeal is that he's bad-ass. We're just going to have to disagree there.
