Nice preview. Kinda irritated that they didn't show any footage of any customized fighters. Nice Dural footage...

Oh, Plague makes a brief appearance in Quest mode! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Overall, one of the better trailers I've seen to date!

I think thats the best preview I've seen on it to be honest. I like the fact they used the replays that were on the disc and edited it really well.

    Lucky You...
Europe still has to wait until PS3 comes out here, and even when that happens, it's not sure whether VF5 is going to be in the shops by then or not /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

    That is very cool, indeed.

Fun fact: I'm 2nd Dan on my FT card.

I imagine that this time we won't be limited with just two users per character. Because we want to keep stats of our small league in one place.

Well, in the IGN preview video, there was an Aoi named Raven in quest mode. I had named Aoi "Raven" in that contest Sega had a while back. So I guess I'm in too! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

So I take it that VF5 at this point in time (just watched the trailer at GT) won't have an in-depth training mode?

not necessarily, coz the VF5 version that they've got is not complete. most likely the tutorial mode will be there in the complete version. just look at the Quest Mode, it's so small compared to VFevo. AM2 themselves promised that the Quest Mode in VF5 will be much better and bigger than VFevo. so i think there is no need to be concerned about it at all.

VF Evo went into the greatest hits for PS2, so someone must have bought it. Though sadly people play more Tekken then VF, mainly over here in the US. It either Tekken or SoulCal. Maybe its because of the flashy-ness of those games that draw attention to the masses. Anyhow, the online capabilities would have been nice but overall, I'm just happy to be able to play VF5 with the very few people that I know who can play it. Maybe Am2 will release a later version that will then have online. All we can do is wait and see.

    Yeah, same here.
    Whenever I want something flashy, I just play DBZ:Budokai Tenkaichi 2 /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif It's awesome /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

It was of course not the final version, which we all know, but the question is how much will it change in those days before hitting the stores.

What are your feelings about the quest mode? For me, even without those quest orders, it's still great. It has this arcade feeling, and come on, you can choose from 3 opponents to fight /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Quest mode for VF was pretty fun, it really showed me that I had a lot of training to do and made me get more into the game. The whole setup of the Quest Mode was genius, it gave you a whole overlook of the map, the customization, and the advice section that let you know where you suck. The Quest orders I didn't even bother through my first run, but their a good challenge.

3 oppponents? isn't that from Tekken. After you beat someone you get to choose who you wish to fight next.

Actually, el_marioto, Evo was released as a greatest hits title. It didnt actually sell itself into the library, it was just always there. I think it was Sega hooking up its fans because VF4 sold well enough in the US they didn't want us to have to pay $50 for an update to VF4 (even if it was a MASSIVE update).

it's been confirmed that VF5 supports 1080p. and If I'm not mistaken the tutorial mode is back too.
