    I was a little surprised to see this new bounce effect, but it doesn't bother me. I'm sure you can still TR it, and if you fail, well instead of a boring down attack, you can now air combo instead. The damage looks to be toned down enough so at the end of the day you're probably only getting the 20-25pts a big down attack gave previously -- only this time you work a little more for it and I think it looks cooler!

    Somebody needs to explain to filefront that the copyright only applies to the artwork and music, but not the actual videos.

    Wow, Aileen is getting cooler and cooler every time ...

    I wonder what that jumping in the air move is about. .. it fricking looks cool =p

    Also, I see a lot more backturned sidestepping and maneuverability than VF4.

    Very nitpicky, but if you look at the very end of the Aileen vs El Blaze match, you can see Aileen's foot go through El Blaze's chest... haha

    I think maybe if they put a tiny bit of havok physics in there it might look better.

    havok physics does not affect collision detection/clipping you HL brainwashed nut. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif
    Although that new thing by LucasArts might do the trick.

    you know what I mean, maybe it's not havok, but it's that one simulation where there is a default animation that is modified on the fly. Like the standard 'falling to your knees after getting smacked' animation is still there, but the body jerks back right where you were attacked. Anyway don't want to clog up the thread.... IM me or something

    About this bounce thing. Even if there is still possibility to TR, then it's not cool anymore. What if Pai does a [P] and then another [P]+[K] after the bounce. If the opponent doesn't TR then she gets a free [P] and [P]+[K] AND Big Down attack /versus/images/graemlins/indifferent.gif It's NOT nice /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif If they wanted Pai to have bigger air combos, they should have given her higher floating moves /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif (Not to mention that she could get another bounce again....stupid, but what a funny bug would that be /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

    I'm willing to bet that you can't bounce twice. Maybe you can bounce twice against a wall though, but the damage is most probably going to be miniscule since you get scaling from the bounce and then scaling from the wall.

    In the Pai vs Aoi video, Pai tries to follow with [P][P][P] string, but the 2nd [P] always missed, the 3rd [P] hit, and the last kick missed too. This tells me that the refloat is "heavier" (in a sense) than a normal float, so following up might not be as brainless as it seems.

    This reminds me of the introduction of crumples in VF4 which resulted in an uproar by a lot of people! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    Yup, but, you know... There some "this CAN be real" feeling in crumples. I don't see this in bounce effect. That is what i am complaining about

    Aaah.....whatever.....we all know what they say in such situation. They say "Forget about it.....jus' forget about it /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif The bounce just looks too damn "Not VF-like".
    Myke, I know that Pai missed with some moves in the bounce follow up, and I know that most probably it can't bounce again, however what if after the bounce Pai can do [P] followed by [P]+[K]? This would mean that with some luck (no TR) she could get a little but always SOME additional damage /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif I don't really like it. Anyway, Sega shoud've given Pai some completely new air combos instead of modifying the old ones to such an extent /versus/images/graemlins/deadpan.gif

    I've noticed 2 different settings for the coliseum/ruins stage (day and night). The day setting looks much better than night IMO.

    Could this be the same for the other outside levels?

    Whoever plays Brad will win if they do that funny foot dance thing. It will definetly catch the opponent off guard with a good gut laugh.     In these clips, one match appears to take place at dawn, while the other is clearly a different time of day. So, in addition to the bland night setting, this brings the total up to 3 different looks for the coliseum!! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

    I hope they get some battles up that don't seem so lopsided with one person totally dominating the other person. Seeing someone with items go up against someone with out any leaves little to wonder who is going to win (this isn't a button masher game). The best match I can think of right know is the Jeffery vs. Shun-Di match it has a comeback and is close and down to the wire. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    Thanks Myke and everyone else for directing us to the links! I'm enjoying following along with you guys and looking at the differences. /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif

    I want to talk about some of these quotes that the characters are saying. I think they are gold. So far the most hilarious one I have heard is brad's: "What can I say?... I'm on top." Jeffery’s "Behold my physic (spelling?)!" is pretty classic too. But Brad's is right up there with vf4 lion's "I show no mercy for the elderly!" (at least that's what I remember him saying)
    o! I just listened to El Blaze's opening: "I got the advantage! You got nothing! (says a word I dont understand)" The word sounds like "Pass" or something...what can this be?
    What other funny ones have you guys heard?
