I think you're wrong, if you look at the Shun Blaze match, you can see that he still has the same animation for +.

I might be wrong and the sabaki has 2 animations, one for s and one for s.

I looked at the VF5 Memo thingy, and I don't see any modifications to said move, but babelfish gives me stuff like "pushing cartridge in Hari fruit old age ".

All I can really tell for sure is that now floats enough to combo, and that cancelling some string with puts you in the new stance / step.

Maybe I should start a shun thread, like some of the other characters have. I'm just not very apt at decoding Babelfish, let alone Japanese...

I just watched the newest Jacky vs Shun video (Lion's stage)
Yup, I was totally dead wrong

and the Shun player used that new move more often,, and it's completely different new move,, it just that it's also a Sabaki for s (that's why I got mixed up in the other video)

Cuz, I don't think you should unless you link to Lettuces page or so, since it's illustrated. Babelfish suck beyond words(and basically every other translation engine online).

I really like costumes C and D actually, and maybe it's just me but I've always wanted to see a more casual Akira, even if the outfit bears a slight resemblance to Jin's. If I had to pick a least favorite outfit I think it would be B, but I'm sure that's not a popular sentiment.

Not that it matters much at this point, but what else would you have wanted as an outfit? It seems they covered most of the basics, and now it's just modifying them with accessories.

Or were you looking for something more like Zack's Teletubby outfit from DOA? j/k /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

 

hmm wonder what goh's 4th costume looks like...

hes has the Gi, the PVC outfit, the muscleshirt and track pants...and i am assuming they got rid of his HoodedJacket and Baggy pants...

also its funny people are complaining about akira's outfit looking like jins but i dont think it resembles it at all..if anything it was Goh's that was really close to jins.

 

Hey I don't have a problem if Akira looked like a smurf as long as the custom he's wearing is some what related to his personality/character. Like Jeffrey or KaGAY all their clothes matches their original theme & expanding on it. But atleast for example the ninja would never wear say a cowboy outfit like in brokeback mountain.

Hell Akira can look like Goku from DBZ for all I care since the outfit he wears suits him.

AKira's costume looks NOTHING like Jin's. His costume C looks like Lei wu long's if anything.

Lol, seeing that pic of Kage's VF3 costume brings back memories. It wouldn't have looked so bad if the trousers weren't shiny.

I was under the assumption that the C costume complimented the Chinese art that he practiced.

 

Yeah, I don't see what's so bad about Costume C. I like it. It's Chinese style clothing and his fighting style is indeed Chinese. Not only that, he also has a queue for one of his items so it all fits in rather well.

 

What's ridiculous is Lion's D costume. That's got to be the all time worst costume I've ever seen in a "serious" 3D fighting game.

Akira's D costume is probably a close second. Maybe if AM2 toned down the shininess a little, darkened the color...na they should completely revamp it. Either casual clothing (jacket and jeans, Terry Bogard style would be nice) or casual, traditional Japanese clothing (complete with wooden sandals, maybe shorts). The current D outfit though? Ugh, very pimp daddy wannabe.

It does reflect Chinese culture but not Baji. Because Lau & Pai wear the same chinese outfit. Damn I hate that thing, it looks like you're wearing a whole bed sheet.

I really referring only to VF5 but VF3's Kage still takes the cake for the most wack-ass outfit.

I am inclined to disagree!

Though Sarah's D costume is pretty what-the-fucking-fuck, it lacks that whole "Tokyo Ghetto Pussy" feel of her jaw-droppingly tacky VF3 ensemble.

costumes have been worse:

Lion's 2P in VF3 (shrink wrap writtern on his jersey reflects that old ancient 3D modeling technique used in the mid late 90's)

Wolf's 2P cowboy get up in VF3
Wolf's 2P weird indian get up in VF4

 

I don't think Lion's D costume would look that bad if it didn't have that diamond pattern on it.
