Oh, and up0045.wmv Lau vs Eileen is also up /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Great match, Lau tries using a lot of OM but doesn't pull it off well, and I love the match-ending combo /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

 

Jeffry's new throw looks vicious! And Sarah has a new punch combo that finishes with a knee...I'm almost starting to reconsider dropping her in favour of Brad (the guys suposed to use Muay Thai, not Kickboxing with elbows...)

Anyway, Is it just me or does the music sound a little different? So far in the mansion, garden and raft stages that have featured in the latest batch of clips I swear I'm hearing more drum/base components.

Damn, EVERY Bruce Lee wannabe now has "the kick." lol Btw Jacky's new hairstyle makes him look like a jrocker.

Lei is ghetto'ed up a few notches and uses some of the new moves.

 

That is interesting, I remember seeing a clip where Eileen was staggered after her throw was escaped as well (her throw that similar to Lion's where she jumps on the opponent's head.)

 

Interesting to note, however it doesn't seem to make a difference whatsoever to the situation - Or it could be that the player is good at struggling, (it didn't look like a long stagger at all)

Also about Jacky having more Bruce-like traits: *sigh* I originally picked him (since vf1... i may be dating myself! /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif) because he broke the stereotypical Bruce Lee mold that every JKD character had in fighting games. Unfortunately Sega decided to dimish Jacky's originality with each installment of VF until he was no longer distinguishable from any other Bruce clone. Hey, at least he's still white and not asian. /versus/images/graemlins/lol.gif /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

 

I found it interesting that in a recent movie
2006-5-24_18_56_LION_vs_LION.wmv

The lionplayer evades the other lionplayers 1k and does a garanteed 3k on him. This leads to a sidehitstagger animation (in mC) which in turn seems to guarantee a P+K (which isn't the fastest of moves, 20frames in VF4). This, in combination with that you seem to be able to get out more damage from sidehitcombos, leads me to believe that maybe evade>attack isn't a 2 shabby tactic in VF5 (against big moves).

Well at least he doesn't shout the typical "Waatah!" when he attacks. And there's always Sarah with her Savate/TKD/Kickboxing, MMA style (I hope Sega define what she actualy uses in VF5).

I just want to say: 0:28 - Lion does while Lei-Fei sweeps. They miss eachother but it looks so seemless, one of those visualy pleasent moments that would have spectators nodding in entertained approval.

Regarding Lion's throw being escaped; it seems he travels back too far for the opponent to take advantage if they're not instantly aware of, or anticipate the escape. Though, if the opponent escaped the throw while Lion was in the corner then that would be a dangerous/interesting situation.

I swear the stages have been updated...
