    that video was awesome
Failed offensive evade by 1p, side hit by 2p goh with a backturned [3][P] (i think) looks like knee crumble guarenteed (no counter hit flash unless crumple is now guarenteed in VF5). Goh not so bad afterall?

seems like there is normal side hit properties and seperate side crumple properties.

on a side note it could be a side turning hit move, like the new akira [4][6][P]+[K]+[G], goh's knee crumple still remains a mystery.

Thanks for the link, Myke. There's a wealth of high quality clips there, especially the Brad vs Sarah match in the Aurora stage with the incomplete side step animation for Brad (up0028.wmv, it's hillarious at first but features good gameplay).

    Cheers.

Ok I know I ain't seen much of VF5 Goh and thought what I saw in early game play was all he had in terms of new moves but after seeing this, I'm like WTF?!

First new move I see is a new throw, looks REALLY cool specially in that 2P outfit. Then I see some flying kick move, lol. Then I see some harsh uppercut that completely knocks ya opponant down like a bitch. Then a throw that looks like it could be chained.

He in really intriguing me now with this footage. I thought I saw it all until that flying kick, seriously. I have a feeling it's a flying leg sciisor kick grab, if anyones seen Nina William's version from Tekken you might get a better idea of where I am going with his move of Goh's. Can't wait to use him now. If he's as good as Dragonov from T5 then woot.

I really really really hate to ask, but where can I find more Shun videos? I've seen only 3, Namflow v Shou, SuperGolden v No_Name, and a SH_EI. I've heard that there are a few good ones out there, but I've been through every page on this thread and haven't found anything... any help would be greatly appreciated, even if you could just point me in the right direction

This is a great thread, thanks for contributing everyone /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

    Welcome to the forums Stormin_Shun,

Other than sifting through the media forum you can also visit Kikizo, which has a large amount of VF5 coverage and clips for an independent games website.

Looking @ http://www.geocities.jp/lettuce1781/locationtestinfo/goh.htm there seems to be a P+K followup to 9k+g so you might not be far off. He seems to recover BT from it on guard though and it looks pretty safe o_O

    Forum issues.

Double post, again. This is the 2nd time the forum has crashed when I try to post and I can't see the original unless I make another. Sorry.

That clip was equally painful and entertaining to watch. The Brad player was highly competent, excellent use of aggression and spatial awareness, his win in round three was a textbook dismissal.

Yet, in round four he froze at 1:41 after the Pai player broke his clinch. A misjudged DM got him thrown and then a OM against a minor [3][K][P] gave too little adv which led to him being tracked (it now makes perfect sense after PhoenixDth charts) by the Pai player for a [P], [P]+[G]. I felt for him. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Round five was just too much: Getting knocked out of [2_][4][K], [2][P] was DMed, [K][K] from the Pai player, he's trapped in the corner and the rest is history...

He lost by attrition and a single piece of initiative at the end. If it had been two rounds then it wouldn’t have been an issue for the Brad player. I would have kicked myself for that defeat if I was him. /versus/images/graemlins/tear.gif

Great use of [3][K] by the Brad player though, he didn't miss a trick during a float and his skill with [6][P]+[K]+[G] was admirable yet he was too reliant on it. He didn't make use of [8]/[2][P]+[K]+[G] techniques that would've probably caught the Pai player out throughout the match.

    Observations:

0:18 & 1:18: I’ve noticed that Brad performs [8]/[2][P]+[K]+[G], [8]/[2], [2][P]+[K] but without the [8]/[2][P]+[K]+[G], [8]/[2] so this leads me to believe that he can either do it standing and it’s a new move or, his original Sharp Shoot ([1][P]) has been modified. I wouldn’t mind the latter really; a relatively fast low [P] that knocks down regardless of hit type, but with the chance to be low thrown on block is a fair trade off imo.

1:19: Brad can at the least [6][P]+[K]+[G] after [6][P]+[K]+[G], [6], [P] like he can after the second [P] of the string where he can definitely [8]/[2][P]+[K]+[G] or [6][P]+[K]+[G]. Good news.

Note: I'm going to add these two points to the "Brad Observations" thread.

All in this was a tragic yet informative match.
