I think Goh is Chinese and if that's the case, he should be yellow. Perhaps he has a bad tan.

Since you are fluent in both languages you can understand that some things are better expressed in spanish and some are better articulated in english or certain things sound better in either language.
As far as preferences.. it depends on the presonality --
me -- in grammer school, i was always ashamed of speaking spanish in a very non latin school.. then in colloge , i learned not to care.. now I dont care what i speak ,, as long as i speak it correctly -- cant stand fellow latinos who say i talk 'white' when i speak english,,, yet I speak 100% better spanish than them and know my history from both cultures....
I dont know about Jerky overall,, but he definatley is a very proud dominicano,, and i think he was addressing you Point - why would vanessa speak portuguese if she was raised in USA..
I still say it depends on the person.. There are also tons of latinos who never taught their kids spanish because in the past it was frowned upon,, yet someone in that family , decided to learn the language for culture pride.

Look at the olympics,, that domincian who ran for la republica and not the US.

fair enough man, i stand corrected, you´re completely right, there are some things that are better left spoken in either language, like myself, i hate OS´s and electronics in spanish, i just feel the language doesn´t lend itself out much to technology, but that´s just me.

i guess i always had the notion that it was only a minority of hispanics born in the us that actually spoke spanish, or good spanish at that, since all american-hispanos i´ve met don´t speak any spanish, or if they do it´s very flawed, but as always, it´s really up to the person, you´re right

btw, it´s my honest oppinion that el blaze being a mexican wrestler he´s deffinitely gonna need to speak spanish, mexicans are very proud of their country

i honestly hope this game adds to the ps3 launch lineup

My point is Sega doesn't care and that you shouldn't so much either. Further analysis isn't necessary, nice spanish.

Edit: I'm not bitter, and I don't want you to feel that my tone is intended to be... it's very difficult to not sound like an ass when expressing one's opinion.

    El Blaze

I think logic dictates that since El Blaze is not Asian, he must speak English.

Maybe we will luck out and El Blaze will speak heavily accented English and sound exactly like that Mexican mouse with the dour countenance who is friends with Speedy Gonzales.

i really should hope my spanish is nice lol, kinda hard to talk to people over here without it

btw, has anybody thought about how much edge the tech catching attacks (goh´s [8]/[2]+[K]+[G] ) will have over the new movement?

Another small update on http://www.virtuafighter.jp/. They added a few skill pics for Pai, Brad, Lau, Jeff, and El Blaze. Too bad we saw most of them in that famitsu scan a while back already.

I agree with you about the mexican thing,, but actually over here that is most latinos.

Actually , we may get a Japanese version of spanish - in KOF, they had a mexican guy ,, and he said 'hasta la vista' or ' i love mexico' and it wasnt an american accent it was a Japanese accented english accent of spanish.. you can tell by the 'l' sounds.
So El Blaze, may get that treatment and/or just speak span-english...

i dont know if you guys already know this,,, but i read an article in 1up.com that vf5 is set to be released on arcades march 15 2006, although a unit of the arcade may have 50/50 chances of reaching other shores any news concerning vf is fine with me....

Since The Monkey-Style girl (MSG) is not part of the original cast, then that means she will probably be unlocked in the VF5 storymode(Kinda like Dural). So that would mean that you could only play MGS in VS mode, which sucks.

Some people thought you were joking with both of the VF comic thread, but this out do it all as the worst offender....

    Serious reply:
It was a test version. In the first version of VF5 Vanessa wasn't playable either.

    Not so serious reply:
OMG versus mode sucks! I'll play Quest exclusively lol!

Yeah, considering every non-Asian character in VF speaks English I'd say it's a safe bet that he speaks English.

while I think a cry of aesthetics is dumb for some comparisons, that is one thing about Tekken 5 I thought was a nice touch. But I'd rather have a nice, balanced VF5 than Tekken 5, no matter how good it may be.
