    some throw properties i noticed
Jeffrys backbreaker FT 270 or EVO [4][6][6] throw is now only HCF
Jeffry now has a HCB, the knee drop - which makes me feel that he is now the strongest throwing character in the game with 6 directions.
Wolfs HCB is now the airtoss, so no more arm grab setups, probably to fix that weird pounce problem he has.
Leifeis 270 is now only HCF to start.

the biggest suprise for me now is jeffry, who clearly can take advantage of 0 frame throws with his plenty of mid mid nitaku situations.

also it looks like eileen is possibly the worst throwing character in the game with only [4] throw doing decent damage out of 4 throws.

That is correct, her throw game and overal damage is the worst among the whole VF5 roster.

what are you counting as the 6th direction? The air throws are unbreakable, are you counting P+G?

ya including P+G and suprise exchanges, anything that can work in 0 frame throw. That Jeffry knee drop seems like it does a decent 50 pts of damage as well.

Blaze also has a fullset of 6 throws, but less damage overall. I wonder how effective 0 frame low throws are against fuzzy.

just because i have nothing better to do, im gonna make a quick throw tiers set, with catch throws under consideration, based on my opinion /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

    VF5 throw tiers

    6 throws
    Jeffry
    El Blaze
    Vanessa

    5 throws
    Wolf
    Kage
    Goh
    Aoi
    Lau
    Akira
    Pai
    Brad

    4 Throws
    Jacky
    Lion
    Leifei
    Sarah
    Shun
    Eileen

If i mixed it all together it would look something like this (catch throws under consideration again of course)

    S
    Jeffry
    Wolf

    A
    Kage
    El Blaze
    Aoi
    Goh
    Vanessa

    B
    Lau
Akira - upgraded catch throw back hit combos
    Pai
    Jacky
    Lei-Fei
    Brad
    Lion

    C
    Sarah
    Shun
Eileen? (depending of if there are any guarenteed followups to throws we havent seen yet)

This is entirely objective and just for fun and is not to be taken seriously /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I remember seeing in one of the beta vids Wolf throwing up his opponent high in the air (a bit like the TFT) and combo them. Was this throw ditched or it wasn't a normal standing throw?

im not entirely sure if thats a catch throw, but from the arcadia moves list, no new throw directions has been added.

It might be from Wolf's new running stance. I vaguely remember seeing it in a clip, but I could be wrong.

That throw is probably catch, you perform it by doing P+G while in his 6P+K+G EL Blaze style running stance.

That is correct, the throw is from his deadly move ([6][P]+[K]+[G]).

Also, Eileen does have some guaranteed hits from some of her throws, but still her dmg potential from throws is the lowest of all.

Do you have an idea of approximately how much damage Wolf could deal from that throw?

the little guide teaches you to stop the oppt's throw attempt w/ "Attacks like [P]", but this no longer works, right?

my point is, if you look at the little picture and read it, it says you can "tsubusu", or crush the oppt's Throw with [P], and it shows the punch connecting and the thrower making a grimace.

AFAIK, this is no longer the case, and a more correct way would have been to say that you can stop throw attempts with low attacks or big moves (as I understand it).

There are definitly times where a [P] won't crush your opponents throw.... This is a bit misleading....
