    You can play Tekken though.

I refuse to go back to Tekken 6. SC mode and bad online killed it for me. But at least there is another Tekken in the works. (Trying to be positive.)

However, I think it is time to give up the controller and go study.

If they were going to announce it why would it be in the line up?

If there isnt a console annoucement for vf5fs or annoucement to legally buy the cabinets themselves...at AOU or TGS....THEN IM LIKE F*CK SEGA!

They left room for two more slots, but it's not like its 2 more slots for PS3/Xbox. Rumors I've heard from my hardcore gamer friends is that one slot is for an RPG.

If that's true, that means there's one slot Sega is saving as a "big" announcement, which I seriously doubt is going to be FS, though I genuinely wish to be proven wrong.

I guess I'm just as frustrated as anyone would be really. It's like everything related to Sega and VF is a brick wall.

"...ending in a 2 is not likely to be VF5FS" ?!?

What about AM2? Doesn't THAT have EVERYTING to do with VF5FS?

Think positive, show support, and keep the freaking faith man!

What kills me is to see Sega release how many crappy Sonic games that don't sell and have no quality behind them, another Yakuza title that no one is going to care about (at least on this sid of the pond), and Arcana Heart 3 which shows they will actually support fighting games but not their best one.

Come on, Sega. You see the recent surge in fighting game fandom. People are hungry for quality. You have a new flagship fighter to throw into the arena. Now is the time!

The only bit of hope I can create is from the fact that while it is indeed TGS, the game is still so new to arcades that it may not be wise to announce a console release date. Much like KoF XIII, which has yet to announce one but many feel we'll see a console release date before end of year or early 2011.

As long as the bring the game home, I don't care how long it takes. But in today's climate where fighting games have seen such a resurgence in popularity, it just seems silly for Sega to ignore.

All signs are that Valkyria Chronicles III is Sega's biggest 'surprise' for the show. I say 'surprise' in that Sega basically already revealed the game was in development through some not so subtle marketing and domain registering. VC is a very innovative and cutting edge franchise so this is quite big news for Sega.

That being said, TGS is a huge trade show, lots of media and consumer attention. Not only that, but it has been paired with Tougeki, the premier arcade fighting game tournament. There is almost no better place to announce a console port of a fighting game than this show.

^ Yes , but we don't know if Valkyria Chronicles 3 is going to be a PS3 or PSP product. It may actually be for PSP because there was alot of fan request for it , and the PS3 version didn't sell well.

But they wouldn't keep making Sonic and Yakuza games if they didn't sell. I think Sonic continues to sell well and Yakuza's supposed to be huge in Japan which explains why they keep churning them out. I've only heard about bad sales for VF5 on PS3 and 360.

I wouldn't necessarily expect VF5:FS to be a big success either. There'll probably be people who wouldn't understand how much of a change it is and then complain about it being full price. There's also MVC3 and MK9 to steal the limelight next spring/summer.

Guys relax, have faith and patience. SF and Tekken fans waited longer than we have.
Sega's going to release either release or at least announce a release date for FS by the end of this year.
If not... well... I don't know what to tell ya!

Yakuza sells because they promote the living bejesus out of that series. There are tons of promotional campaigns and tieups that they run before the game comes out, which obviously generates a lot of hype. Too bad they didn't do that with VF5. :p

Sega needs to come up with selling points to make the Virtua Fighter franchise to start selling.
