The dress Vane is wearing looks like an Austrian "Dirndl", reminiscent of "Trachten" lol

Update from virtuafighter.jp website, it seems that the switch between R --> FS (at least the cards) will be Monday 7/26. Someone who actually have a knowledge of Japanese grammar can confirm or reject this? [IMG]

Hey so it is almost time to see that Arcade release. I hope Sega announce the console release like the day after. Cause I wait to shut some Tekken fans up.

I am guessing they wont announce a console release for awhile, if they do one. However i'll be buying it at full price upon release if it does go console.

Twitter "shoutbox" up on the newly updated Japan's Virtua Fighter Website

Also, all the "S" costumes are viewable and stages viewable in the character tab.

    Armbands? Or water wings???

Honestly, they seem out of place but I could see getting use to them. Not as bad as I figured they would be for some characters.

Well, FS is out! Got to play it a little today. Can't really say if anything's different from the location test, but at least it's out.

There's a FS guidebook/movelist just like with R. I'll have to acquire a few from the arcade. The movelist did list some Akira moves I didn't know existed in the beta, but they were just the old backstep moves from 5/5R. I have a partial list of new moves and differences for Akira that I've been meaning to post somewhere. I'll have to do that soon now that I know all the new moves.

Also, it seemed that VF.NET crashed or something and was down for a little while today. I guess it was because of all the traffic with people getting on VF.NET and playing the game. I guess that's a good sign for now. Players weren't able to capture any matches during that time though.

Got twitter going too. Now everybody will get to read about all my losses. :p

EDIT: Ok, I looked through the FS Command Book (the guidebook I mentioned above) and it lays out all the changes. Most have already been discussed but I'll summarize...
    Throw system
    1. Regular throws are now [4], [6], or neutral. That was mentioned before.
    2. Only *one* throw escape input possible! That explains why I wasn't getting out of any throws before.
    3. No more throw clash.
    4. Throws are faster than 5(R) and no more 0 frame throws.

    Others
    1. During evade, if you get hit by either half or full circular, it will be a counter hit.
    2. Backdash is a little riskier. While backdashing, if you get hit by middle kick class moves, you'll fall on your butt (yoroke). Already seen in vids.
    3. Full circular moves stop when blocked. Again, already known.
    4. Starting life is now 221 pts from 201.
    5. Taka is harder to knockdown. I don't know what the changes are since I really didn't play 5R that much.

    hi Reno,

don't know if you'll see this post, but...

in the news announcement you mentioned "This month's issue of Arcadia magazine" will include VF5FS info.

by "this month's issue", would that be the "September 2010" one? I know they release their magazines in advance, so I just want to make sure exactly which one it is.

    thanks!

Major problem, I live in America. Sega are you just going to cater to the Japanese again? I may hate Tekken, but Namco actually listens to their fans. At least Namco brings their games world wide. That is the only good thing I can say about Tekken. Tekken fans know they are going to get another sequel or update of their favorite game.
