when is TGS and AOU?

 

AOU already happened this year and VF5FS arcade was announced there. Next AOU will be in the first quarter of 2011 most likely. So having to wait that long just for a console announcement would be beyond pathetic.

July 16th is VF5's arcade anniversary, so maybe Sega will roll out some arcade information, or hold some special event around that time like a tournament or a festival.

TGS is September 16th this year. If an announcement isn't here by that time then the game is probably never coming. Remember everyone at VFDC sitting around during TGS last year waiting for a 5R announcement? Same deal. "Sega is uncertain about the home market" or whatever.

KOFXIII, BB:CS, MvC3, MK9, DoA5, and down the road Tekken 7. Lots of fighters coming out in the next year or so. But Virtua Fighter? Will Sega ever get its act together?

 

Maybe they are not sure about the international market, obviously e3 is the best place for that. They could have shown an arcade build, that would not have been too bad. People probably would have been cool with that; then again, sega might not want to answer questions about a "possible" home release.

Like you stated there are a lot of fighters coming out these next few years, if VF5 is a no show, speaking for myself, I will be ok.

 

Am I missing something? Why do people keep mentioning AOU as a potential source for the announcement of a home version. Isn't AOU the Arcade Operators Union Entertainment Expo? Nothing to do with home versions?

Let me know if I'm wrong, I just remember at the last year everyone seemed hyped for AOU, and by the list there it was purely arcade games.

 

They announced the xbox live port of VOOT at AOU, not sure if they've ever announced anything related to VF on consoles there.

EDIT: Did a quick look on google and the EVO PS2 port and VF5 on PS3 both seemed to have been announced first at TGS, guess waiting for TGS in september is all we can do.

Lots of set pieces that probably won't be in the final game.

Its a theatrical trailer. I can appreciate. Funniest thing is although I appreciate his customs etc. Goh still looks like a shoddy character design to me in his base blue as shit pallette.
