If I remember correctly, Taka didnt go down from f+PK on normal hit in VF3 either.. I might be mistaken though cause its been a long time. Back then Taka was just different in this respect.

    This.

    And this.

Let's not lose sight of the original goal, which was to send SEGA a message -- a message to say that we, outside of Japan, want the opportunity to play the latest version of Virtua Fighter.

Yesterday the "latest version" happened to be VF5R. Today it is VF5FS. The fact remains that the message hasn't changed.

Rest assured that I will update the introductory text in the petition document to refer to VF5FS. Please do not worry about editing your existing posts for those who have contributed in the petition thread.

I have already posted once to the thread. I think posting a second time defeats the purpose, yes?

I am not asking people to post again.

If you haven't posted, then please post! If you have posted, then there's nothing further to do. To repeat myself:

I hope this announcement -- made at the AOU 2010 today -- won't stir up another trauma in the ever-hoping Virtua Fighter fan or cut even deeper into the now 2-year-old scar that is VF5:R.

Even if they did give us VF5R it wouldn't be a total loss. It would be freaking awesome to have VF5FS but I would happily take R over nothing.

Why do they make the title of the game in English but then they won't sell it to any English-speaking country??? Doesn't make much sense to me...

It looks like at least some of their promotion is aimed at a Western audience or an audience that speaks English right?

In the VF5FS demo movie, all the little fight sequences show something new/different, except for the Wolf vs Akira sequence? Or did I miss something?

    The throw from RAW.

    I noticed they've changed Akira's 66p+k too [IMG]

What's that special effect on :34 when Wolf blocks Akira? Just some random effect for coolness or is it something new?

Besides this brief news story on Final Showdown, did Kotaku ever mentioned the VF5R petition on their website?

The way it was written seems to be targeted to those that already knew about the petition. I assume, majority of people would have no idea about the petition (judged on someone's post about Taka).

I'd Hate to switch te subject here. I remember watching a episode of the T.V Twilight Zone called "The Shelter" that remind me of the petition thread. While i won't go into details here i'll just say this.

For everybody who contributed to the Kamaage post i sincerly thank you for riding it out and showing SEGA strength in unity. Even the ones who think i don't get along with them. You showed your value as a frontline soldier and was willing to lay it down on the battlefield to get this done. I'll picket fence with you guys anyday. To the clowns who fronted and wanted to play left field for your own self righteous Grand-Standing against it.. To hell with you Seriously. I could understand if it was'nt free but just 1 minute of your time would've been appreciated.

Somehow if Sega don't release this game. I won't be mad anymore.
I guess it was in their best interest..

What am I about to say,
that im so glad that "new" Vf comes out, but in my opinion SEGA should start making VF6, not next "expansion"...

Oh, and costumes are not new, Just partial items. You can see Pai's cos. D pants and Akira's cos. A trousers etc.

When it will be out? This year?
