I think that 'chicken' you're talking about is simply a quick form of RAW stance > option where the opponent can escape the options (notice the bluespark).

 

That would mean he has different animations depending on opponents attack, cause he is grabbing their leg. Because of that I thought it was kick reversal.

With regards to Wolf's "K RAW" I think it'll be like a leg reversal version of his "Catch" throw - i.e. he has different followups (the leg sweep to elbow is one of them) and the opponent can only escape only one direction.

 

Game looks 2D like SF4 at the start of rounds. It also looks like they are adding failed animations for low attack blocks. Should make punishing slightly easier due to recognition. Akira animations seem to look more like Leo's now and Brads sways look pretty cool.

Ver. C Goh is pretty lame and limited compared to what he has in R/FS. : /

EDIT: Just noticed something pretty important. At 0:39 Akira tries to evade up and Jean's half-circular move counter hits him out of it. This either means half-circulars counter hit in the correct direction or any move that hits an evade now counterhits. I think the evade animation is also different.

EDIT2: Goh's low half-circulars are looking great in FS. : P

Whoah, I can honestly say this trailer reminded me what it means to be excited for a game. I haven't felt this way about a game in years.

Please SEGA, don't disappoint.

 

Not to play devil's advocate but something look funny here in this new vid. I can't put my hand on it at the moment but the Mecahnics look a little simple. This game appears more straight forward in this trailer. I hope it just a bit of cosmetics to make the game look even more livelier. Most of the fights look linear. No defense or spacing mechanic were shown so im guessing this is action trailer.

I think the trailer was mainly to showcase new moves, not to showcase general play. Youtube quality also makes it look 'plastic' in my eyes, so lets not comment on that, yet.

 

The game makes all my patience pay off. I just want to do all the awesome moves myself on a console PS3 or 360 I have both don't matter to me so I can see just how cool the game is myself.

 

I think the trailer is just showcase for new animations and moves and general aesthetics rather than showing real match situations.

Hm, I have mixed feelings about this trailer...
On one hand, the stages look kind of unspectacular compared to R and Im also not sure what to think about the gameplay changes(at least what I can see there), on the other hand, I want to play it... now.

EDIT: I wonder, don´t we get a new character in FS?

Mannnnnnnn, SO excited now. I like how many new moves/animations were shown. I also really like the stages, actually.

EDIT: I would also like to say Rodney scared me with his post hahaha. I was like what is this dood on? Is he WANTING to quit this game so he's talking mad sh about it? Then highlighted yellow text and all made sense in the world.

Also agree with you Fulan, like, I don't recall getting this excited from a trailer or teaser in a loooong time. I must really enjoy VF for this to be the case.

 

Looks like Pai and Kage are really weak characters...
Well, I'm just guessing from their moves. I felt bad for Pai since she almost didn't show anything on the trailer.
