Official site: Virtua Fighter 4 Final Tuned

At AOU 2004, Sega AM2 has announced a new upgrade entitled Virtua Fighter 4 Final Tuned which adds new single player aspects as well as balancing out the game more while adding new moves. Expected in Japanese arcades during the Summer of 2004, however, no news of a console port have been announced. Expect media soon.

What an awful new move they have given her seem like another useless backturned move to add to her collection but i'm interested in that first kick they showed maybe a float on MC who knows.

      [/ QUOTE ]

Pai have alot of floaters already so not that interesting if it does float. Pai's back turned moves arn't bad either, you just have to set them up. Usually the move that get u back turned on normal hit or mc would give u an advantage that make certain moves from backturned to be guaranteed if opponent tries to attack back....

      Re: Pai update

She has 3 launchers,[2_][6]+[P] requires you to do MC (yellow flash thingy) to get them in the air , [1][P] requires the opponant not to be blocking high and [K] is probably her most decent launcher i dont think it would be asking to much for pai to have another launcher considering what some characters have already . To be honest i wanted them to show what they had did with her [2][P]+[K] move i heard it had been givin a hit throw element .

The last move on that combo was kinda weird but cool. Either way you're standing, you still get hit (maybe not when you block or when evading!)

      Addititonal Launchers
      [9]+[K]+[G]
      BT [9]+[K]
      Bokutai [P]+[K]
      [3]+[P][P][6]+[P] (MC?)
      Sway Stance, [K]+[G] (MC)
      [6][6]+[P] (MC)

They may not be the most commonly used launchers but they do have their uses....

I really have no complaints about Pai in Evo, except maybe her sabaki can't deflect kicks anymore (mayebe that would make her too strong)

doesnt lau have an identical elbow to thta, plus i like the back turned face kick, very action star kinda move.
The new kick looks like her normal k+G but maybe its alot quicker seems like it.

      Re: Shun update

I thought it looked like a [2][3][6][P] to a new 2-hit canned combo, mainly because the second attack goes into the third very quickly. That was my first impression anyway.

      Re: Shun update

very cool. this must have been the [4][6]+[P]+[K] move that m_shun was telling us about in the test impressions thread. although according to him this move put shun in drunken stance and i don't see him accessing it in that shockwave animation.

perhaps the stance transition is optional then, which would be even better /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif. can't wait to see FT in action!

I wonder why they saved Jeffery for last? Is his ability that hot?

I have no idea. From what I've read so far, Jeffry has some interesting changes.

AM2 has updated their site with a tiny bit of final tuned information, but it doesn't seem to be anything new:

      Re: Sarah update

That Sarah move looked like [6][P]+[K] (not on Flamingo) mixed with [3][K][K]. Looks cool, though!

      Akira update

      http://www.sega-am2.co.jp/vf4ft/

Updated with Akira's new elbow that appears to crumple on normal hit. If I'm not mistaken, this is his new mid punch sabaki (looks like the second hit of [3][P]+[K]+[G][P]

      Re: Akira update

this is an awesome looking move. I hope some mean combo's can follow that besides the normal djk , dlc blah blah blah. I would love to see another move that I can follow up with [P] -> yoho -> dblpalm .

Downside. Punch sabaki? My soul for a good elbow sabaki

Thanks for the heads up DRE.

      Vith:

As for follow ups, if [2_][6][P][P] is still in it could be useful as well as DLC/ABC. Well just my thoughts from seeing the animation anyways.

      Re: Akira update

Crumble on a normalhit mid sabaki... that shit better be counterable as fuck that's all I'm saying (P counter yes thx atleast). The applications of this thing can probably be bigger then most ppl realize. Woho - I got a PK hit against aki and have +2; should I do an elbow or a throw? > raped. SDE / [4][6][P]+[K] followup - you name it.

Maybe it only crumbles on counter but the flash is not shown? It's hard to see if Sara attempts and attack or not.

      Re: Akira update

Looked like white flash to me, but maybe I was seeing things.

At first blush the sweetest thing about this new technique is the earliest animation frames where the move resembles LBF ([3][P]+[K])... /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif
