When did you buy the hori 360 stick? Because as far as I can tell it's out of production (out of print at playasia, no longer at ebgames etc), and used ones are going for more than retail on ebay . . .

I purchased both of them around the time of DOA4's release. One I had preordered from gamestop, but it arrived about 4 days after the game was released. The other I purchased in china town 1 day after the games release. I figured owning two of them couldn't be a bad thing. After reading what you said about how hard they are to come by, I am very glad I got them while I could. They really are awesome sticks. I would have to say much better quality than the ps2 evo sticks. I have been through about 5 ps2 vf sticks since vf4 ver. C was released. For some reason the guard button on the ps2 vf sticks would always go out on me. If it wasn't guard it would be the kick button for some reason. So far the one DOA4 stick I am currently using has already out lasted atleast 3 vf4 sticks. I hope you will be able to get one in the near future. Try J & L games in china town where I purchased one of them. I think they might have a few on their shelves.

Yeah that's why those sticks are worth so much as the build is extremely solid and durable. I've not heard anything negative about those DOA sticks for 360, other than the fact that they made like 100 of before production stopped. I've gone through four PS2 VF4 sticks, either the stick or G button die first each time. I hope to god the VSHG and RAP3 are solid.

game crazy still sells the doa4 stick, i just got one NIB for 50$. Also By the time that i read this far I forgot who said it but its a ignorant statement, the core system for the 360 is exactly the same just no HDD... im not a 360 fanboy, or a ps3 fanboy. I camped for both and Wii. The fact is in the long run PS3 will in fact win [prolly] and i cant wait for them to start to figure out how to use the development library, cuz the games now blow. Right now MS has their reign with the 360 and they deserve it so far. I hate the PS3 interface slap on a shit brown psp menu will you.., dont even get me started on the back compat stuff.~Q

Just to tell you guys, it is very easy to hack a 360 pad to make your own custom stick, I also suspect custom stick builders will probably tone down pricing as 3rd party PCB's become cheaper.

    Virtua Fighter 5 360 pics.

Gamespot have released 27 pics of the 360 version to date here. It seems to be coming along nicely.

With regards to an arcade stick; if Sega plans to release the 360 port in Japan then I'd be surprised if Hori didn't release the "High Grade" for the 360 too. After all, they made a stick soley for DOA 4.

VF5 on 1080p in HDMI cables looks so good its like science fiction. I'm really glad I spend that extra $600 on an XBR2 Sony bravia instead of the 2 grand regular 1080p bravia. Dude Vf5 is so amazing I cant stap gawking at it when I watch replays. You seen the Gran Turismo HD demo? it looks that hot, really. I dont even LIKE racing games but the Gran turismo HD looked so good in 1080p it had me learning to powerslide counter steer, and i actually got GOOD and unlocked every car. THATS how good VF5 is graphically, so good that I was bitching about it not having an online battle mode, Ill stop bitching about it because the game looks so amazing.

360 has a tough act to follow. I really wouldnt want to be them.

BEAT THAT crapbox 360. I want to see them do a graphic comparison between the PS3 and XB 360 versions, and not bitch out by making it a HANDICAP match, using PS3 games component setting to be "FAIR". Every consider ps3s component settings suck because ps3 was designed for HDMI PRIMARILY? I took my ps3 over to my fiends house and played vf5 with composite cables, it look alright still great because of the great chartacter design and modelling, but not oh my god I just scorched my shorts good. It lacked that sheen and errie supernatural glow 1080p hdmi has.

Still Im glad SEGA is screwing SONY out of what couldve been their KILLER EXCLUSIVE Killer App. Its just bad karma Sony got for killing the DREAMCAST.

We shall REMEMBER YOU DREAMCAST, "WE Shall remember" . MAd props to you if you know which episode that transformers quote is from.

A few questions for you. The XBR2 Bravia has the "Live Color Creation backlight system." That is the only difference between that model and Sony's standard 2 grand 1080p Bravia unit, correct? Also, I believe you are referring to the 40'ers based on the price range. I assumed the Live Color Creation option was only useful for movies/tv shows. It actually works for videogames as well? Last question, do the HDMI cable(s) have to be purchased seperately, or do they come with the HDTV? From what I understand, they are not provided with the Playstation 3. Thanks in advance!

I don't think anyone gives "FREE" HDMI cables with their products. As far as the TV's being different go, I can't comment, I don't own both sets. I sure as hell like the frame on mine though.

How much money should I spend on an HDMI cable to make VF5 look it's best? I've seen HDMI cables (with silver in them) that go for up to $450. Will buying something that expensive really make a difference, or is a cable that expensive more for non video game use??

Get the $20 cables at places like monoprice.com online. HDMI is digital, so either you get it or not, no difference in quality.

Is there really any benefit to those real expensive ones then? I was planning on paying $100 or slightly more. I was told if I want a really good one to spend around that. Then I saw these cables going for a few hundred on Vanns.com (?).

Throwmasta - For the short lengths you're getting (4-10 feet; maybe even longer, I'm not sure), all things I've read and heard are that there is absolutely no difference in quality between the bargain basement and $100 Monster cables. After using $20 HDMI cables on my 46 inch 1080p Aquos, I see no problems at all either.

They just charge so much at stores because people don't know better. The cables to spend money on are speaker cables and other analog connections and not on digital stuff like HDMI and optical audio cables. Like I said, for digital, it either works or it doesn't. Unlike analog, there's no such thing as a high and low quality digital connection.

I don't think expensive cables make a difference at all. Go to Best Buy, buy their $100 HDMI monster cable and then do an internet search for "accoustic research HDMI cables"<--you should be able to pick these HDMI cables up for $30 off the internet. Test them out, if the Moster cables make no difference take them back, Best Buy has a nice return policy. Or you can buy both cables at Best Buy but your going to pay top dollar for the accoustic research hdmi cables at Best Buy.

I really disliked the Hori VF4 Evo Arcade sticks because they seemed shoddy in quality.

Could you compare the the DOA4 Arcade stick to the Dreamcast Arcade Stick? I *loved* using the DC Arcade Stick for Virtua Fighter 3 Team Battle. The size, the weight, everything felt perfect to me. This led to me to playing a lot more of VF3tb than I did of VF4 or VF4 Evolution. How does the DOA4 stick compare? Is it very similar to the Dreamcast Stick in it's size, weight, etc.?

If so, then I'll picked some DOA4 sticks on eBay. The cost doesn't matter to me much, I just want something that is as good or better than the Dreamcast Arcade Stick.

I haven't ruled out modding a DC Arcade Stick with a 360 Wired Controller if I have to. But the best solution is if Sega would bring out the PS3 High Grade stick to the 360. I'd buy that in a heartbeat, regardless of price.
