Yo, we playing today? I'll try to make it out to whatever's goin on today! My place is probably no good because we'd have to end early because of people studying. My car's in the shop, so if my roommate isn't going anywhere today, I'll take his car out.

 

Hey people, what's good. Just found this site and this thread. I live in the Woodbridge area (NoVA) and have been a long time VF head. Granted I never knew of tourny and "high" level play when I started playing, but I got back into Fighting games due to (Suck ass) SF4.

I got a few people (maybe about 5-7) who have been in the general fighting game scene for awhile wanting to play some VF. I would also like to re-learn it myself (consider me a scrub...). Anyone playing Shun can show me a few things?!?!

Want to know who and where are sessions held, and is there a LIVE online group or something?

I'll keep checking in...

yo what's up homie! glad to hear VF is still alive! there's 5 of us in NOVA that still get together to play at my house in alexandria (15-20 min away from woodbridge). PM me your contact info so i can call you whenever we plan to get together. we usually meet on sundays and wednesdays. at me

it would be dope to have everyone come over and play. i'll make sure to have 3 setups for sure.

Wed's tho'...There is a place near UMBC (near Bmore) that does a "Fight Night" with all sorts of fighting games. Most of the local SRK.com players are there playing anything from Tekken, to SFHDR, to SF4 to Guilty Gear. They want to start up a VF5 setup.

Now understand, I am by no means good at this game. I am going back to relearn it. I was looking to get some online games before I go somewhere and make a fool of myself, lol.

Where in Woodbridge do you live I live in Woodbridge too but I can't go to Flash's sessions because of my work. I work overnight on sunday and I am recovering from a long week of work on Wednsdayand I don't feel like coming out even though I am off on Wednsdays most of the time. PM me if you want to get something on in Woodbridge at my place. I live close to NOVA's Woodbridge campus.

I am okay at VF but it is always fun to have see some fresh faces to learn from

 

Cool...I just want to let you know that people might not be into joining from the get go. The crowd is more so a 2d crowd, but to them a fighter is a fighter. They really seem to be more so into games that are still tourny viable (and "hype"). So don't expect hard core VF players to be there, hell you might only get one or two people to play for a long period of time (outside of me).
As far as set up? I would just bring the game for now...If you want to make sure you get some games going, then YEAH bring what you got. Most people have a 360 stick or PS2 stick so Xbox would be better.

I know its short term notice, But I am doing something at my house today (Sun) if you'd like to come down for a bit.
