Chris- What is and how do you charge partition? I'm trying to learn Urien and I hear its really important. ^_^

edit: I found this really awesome Tutorial made by this guy named "Thongboy Bebop" and there are two parts to it. The 2nd one is supposed to explainc charge partioning...but I dont think he ever released it...-_-

 

urien is hard to play at first lol..

charge partition is when you charge a move dash then input the move while dashing.. like charge /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif then since its already charged /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or whatever something like that if im wrong chris well correct me .. havent played 3s in a while haha

Partitioning is breaking up the charge for a move into 2. Charge for a bit, do something, finish charge, then do the move.
For example Urien: Charge db for a bit, dash, hold db to complete charge, then press u+P at the end to get dash headbutt.
You can't over-charge the first part, it has to be 2 partial charges.

There's another way you can try it out as well. Play Guile in Super and corner someone. Do the sonic boom motion, but instead of holding back; hold down+back then finish the motion. Right when the projectile is about to come out hold back again to set up for another sonic boom if they either get hit by the first one or block it. You can also throw in a couple standing jabs to partition the move or a crouching one. I kinda prefer cr. lp.

Same goes for summersaults and whatnot. Eddel can probably add more to this if I'm missing something. Honestly I really suck at playing charge characters, but for some reason I really like playing Balrog.
